I read on the DA wiki that there is a glitch which calculates range damage with str instead of dex. Is this true? Has it been fixed? I read on another post it was fixed in 1.02, but I didn't see it mentioned in the patch notes.

I know on some weapons it has a STR modifier and not Dex...I also think their is a bug with Dex not giving the proper dmg output...
I personally find my Archer incredibly underpowered compared to other classes. I spec Leliana in that direction and aside from getting Ranger specialization, it was a mistake going full Archer, IMO.

It was not fixed in 102, only the dagger dex bug was addressed.
There is an unofficial hotfix floatin around, but be aware that it changes bows considerably for both you and your enemies.

Are you saying you went with high str and it didn't work out well? Or high dex.

i think he is saing that archery as a whole seems underpowered, which is a common complaint. Perosnally I think a properly used archer is fine, but I am definately in the minority.
