The only fat person I've encountered in all of Mass Effect is Officer Eddie Lang, poor guy.
So... futuristic health benefits? Mass Effect field weight loss system?
All that time spent on spaceships can't be great for the body.

Methinks it's just to not HAVE to create a bunch of different body types. Just standard human female, standard human male, etc.

healthy food

So you are saying that we get fat because we don't have access to healthy food?

Unless you are being force-fed doughnuts...

*Animated inage removed per Site Rule #6*

... it seems that choice is more the issue.

Unhealthy food is a lot cheaper most of the time. You do know this, right? I'm not saying your point is invalid, I'm just stating another.

But that wouldn't magically change in the future, so it can't cause this change short of the Citadel government taking away our liberties* and banning unhealthy food that are engineered to encourage consumption.

* That's sarcasm; I happen to believe that for-profit companies will never put customer's health over profits (e.g. compare to the tobacco industry) and government intervention is necessary.

Yep.

Lack of fat people can even be sort of justified, I was more intrigued about the lack of old/ugly females.

Its really not that unrealistic to expect that, 150 years from now, Big Food will have found a way to make products that retain all of the delicious (read; addictive) fat and sugar flavorings without wrecking our bodies or turning us into elephants. I'm sure there stands a huge profit to be made for the first one who does that. Corporations aren't inherently malicious; they just go where their greed points them.

But after all of that, the real answer to this thread is that creating multiple body types is hard. Same reason why we didn't see any kids or female turians, salarians, or krogan until ME3.

If I was in charge, even if it was possible to put in fat people in the game with a snap of my fingers, I wouldn't have done it.

I don't know about you, but I saw far more female Quarians throughout the series than male ones. Heck, we didn't even get to see any male Quarians until the second game. Asari don't even have males.

I generalized. I was referring more to the Turians, Salarians, and Krogan.

It's also realistic. Live and let live. You can be fat, and I'll be healthy!

I doubt it will be very 'realistic' 170 years from now.

You guys should make a mental note of never attending any show or convention Bioware is participating in. Lots of overweight fans.

Just saying. Or if you do, you might want to keep it to yourself. ;)

I doubt it won't. Fantasy world for you though, where everyone is pretty and attractive.

Mass Effect is such a great power trip for you!
