I read a short story by Dan Simmons about mountaineering. It is so well-written, realistic and detailed that I feel that I never ever want to climb a mountain.

I kinda feel that way about platinum solos. This was my third or fourth attempt at it. It's just such a long and tedious thing. This was far from a flawless game. The sad thing is I only got killed on wave 1... my objective waves were devices, hack and escort. And I broke out the rockets on wave 10 rather than just kiting all those primes all over the place.

I almost died on wave 10. I mean literally. I thought I was going to have a heart attack.

You people who enjoy platinum solos are crazy (: 

EDIT: I used INVADERONE's flawless platinum solo video as inspiration. My build was slightly different and he's a lot more effective with the Acolyte than I am but the basic strategy is the same.

Nice time . Congrats that's still a good achievement. I don't have that type of patience myself.

Well done, I personally couldn't spend almost 2 hours doing a single match, so you have a lot more patience than I.

I don't really have that kind of patience! It's a team game (: I'm ok doing gold solos but if I am soloing I prefer a close-quarters character where I can just beat people up (:

Major well done :-) I've used the cabal for a silver but wasn't sure about using her on higher difficulty's but on plat is crazy.

I know and I agree. But think of dat ass! It must hurt sitting that long. 

I was trying not to say anything disparaging; it is still a plat solo.

...but I lol'd. I tried, but I can't argue with that.

Don't be mad at us SP. I've never done one, so hats off to you for doing a plat solo, regardless of the clock.

not really.

a 20 min proves you are an efficient killer/ good at the game. 

nearly 2hrs means you ran away and struggled the whole game.

It was pretty much that. Shoot them a bit, back away, let them come to me, shoot them a bit, run away, rinse, repeat.

I wasn't trying for a flawless/hall of fame game. I figured I may as well try a plat solo. If you want to count this as a lesser achievement, you can go ahead and do that.

She's actually the best character to solo platinum with, not the fastest, but most likely you will survive due to her great mobility and instant shield regen.

also, Nightshade Blades is a great stagger power/grenade and can immobilize Phantoms.

Nevermind immobilize. 1 Acolyte Shot+1 Nightshade Blade=1 Dead Phantom.
