Can't think of anything. Having Varric back is superb, and continuing the tradition of having the option to exterminate a Circle worth of Mages and a clan worth of Dalish would be welcome.

Heretics of course and to continue my PC's running gag of slaughtering Dalish Clans.

Oh hell yeah! I love Loghain.

Iron Bull or Grey Warden as companions and/or romances would make my day. I would also let out a manly squee or two. Or three. Or four.

Also an Elf/Dwarf/Oxman Templar, the Order needs some diversification.

Not to scare anyone but the title resembles a line in the movie Deliverance.
cough cough, enough about that.
Exalted March was cancelled .
They should have auctioned those t shirts not burned them.
To provide another answer to the question....
To learn what Flemeth really is.

Being able to create two or more characters with the same race, gender, class, weapon type, and specialization, and yet the two are completely different.

A toolset, as others have said.
Some unarmed based weapons (thinking fantasy version of a power fist). I would really like to put my fists into people.

...that came our horribly wrong.

A really good weapon and armor crafting system with tons of customization.

Keith Szarabajka as a voice actor for the male Inquisitor.

Hearing a favourite actor voice a character. I squeed when I heard Kate Mulgrew as Flemeth the first time.

No. Just. . . no. I've had quite enough of them shoehorning in characters that could possibly (or in this case, likely) have died in previous installments. Dead is dead, damn it.

Would not be opposed to a small (and relatively insignificant) cameo, though.

He may be dead in your playthrough, but he is very much alive in all of mine. And alive is alive, damnit.

And it's not so much shoehorning when the game will be taking place in Orlais and they specifically said Loghain, should he survive Origins, is going to Orlais. It's more a natural progression.

Aside from my desire for the return of Simon Templeman(I would name my first born after David Gaider for that), the option to kill Fiona would bring me endless amounts of joy.

A few things from other franchises, to be honest. I'd love to see more epic(and more challenging) boss fights on a similar vein as Dark Souls. Obviously not referring to the action-y gameplay style, more about a greater sense of challenge in tactics based on their own movements/abilities. Going from memory, Dragon Age 2 generally seemed to deal more with adds(Giant Statues with Meredith), though do correct me if I'm wrong on that front. I never felt particularly engaged in the Dragon Age Bosses.

The other thing would be what both World of Warcraft and Skyrim did very well: "Environmental Pornography". Building a world that really immerses you into it with a combination of art style and the game engine itself(and it does look worlds better than previous iterations)would be a pleasant change of pace from my experiences in the first 2 games.

I'd prefer a fedora myself.  Slightly hipsterish I know, but I like what I like.

:D

We know the hat will be awesome.

Well, to be honest ... I'm going to be overly excited from the very moment I get to lay my hands on this game. I guess nearly anything will make me squee - the music, the starting screen, character creation screen, whatever comes before/after that ...
