I agree with you on that.
David Gaider: I don’t think we’ve ever presented the idea of a mage revolution as being the best answer with an obviously good resolution.

And it still hasn't been answered. I didn't ask if it "should" end - I asked if you would have the same reaction in a Tevinter campaign as you do for the Chantry driven Thedas side where mages are mistreated.
I believe the answer is no.
I believe people would post on here about how deeply nuanced Tevinter is with such dark themes like slavery... and ohh, isn't being a Tevinter magister so dark and edgy.
Rape isn't okay in Orlais or Tevinter - slavery shouldn't be okay in Orlais or Tevinter... but somehow, I do not believe the mage fanatics on these boards would do anything to stop Tevinter slavery.

Rape isn't okay in Orlais
Knights in Orlais can get away with rape, its one of the reasons whatshername ran to Denerim.
This has been a very uncomfortable post to make

More assumptions on other people's behalf?
Can't you just accept that some people are against injustice where they see it, and will fight *the idea* of *evil* templars and *evil* Megisters with the same passion?
I know I would.

I will say this though.
Rape isn't policy in Orlais (please cite actually DA material to prove otherwise)... slaves and slave sacrifice is policy in Tevinter (I will provide DA material if it's actually required).

Why do you think that? You think that slavery in tervintor only happens to non-mages? I think you miss understand the point that Tevintor is no mare evil then Orlais. That means they are both bad. No one here is trying to make Tevintor sound better, we are just pointing out that Orlias is not better.Medhia Nox wrote...

"She and her brother had to leave Orlais and take refuge in Ferelden after a run-in with a chevalier. In Orlais, chevaliers are very highly respected knights; so highly respected that they are given the right to indulge in nearly every whim that strikes them, even ones that would otherwise be considered criminal. Liselle had attracted the eye of a certain chevalier, who used his privileged status as an excuse to try to rape her. "

You know that's not the same as "Policy" yes?
A wealthy celebrity who could pay his way through a murder conviction - doesn't mean we (in America) have laws that say: "If you are a wealthy celebrity, we encourage you to use money to obtain freedom."
Knights and Samurai had this very same "priviledge" - it didn't mean local lords didn't punish them. Anyone with more power who wishes to - could punish them.
It's likely the same in Orlais.
Ever hear of a crooked cop? War crimes? Those things are not "policy" - they're abuses of power.

Personally, I don't want to destroy any part of Thedas apart from the templars. What I asked - was would you destroy Tevinter for non-mages like you want to rage across the rest of Thedas for mages.
Then you're silly.Rape isn't okay in Orlais or Tevinter - slavery shouldn't be okay in Orlais or Tevinter... but somehow, I do not believe the mage fanatics on these boards would do anything to stop Tevinter slavery.
Also, blood magic isn't policy in Tevinter either; it's still illegal.
