It would be interesting to see how the Thedas being directly exposed to the Fade would affect the world and gameplay-wise.
For example:
1. We know that magic is drawn from the Fade, so what if, the closer a mage is to a tear, the stronger his/her magic gets?
2. Teleportation and other impossible magicks could finally happen since the laws of magic are in whack due to the proximity of the Fade.
3. Reality might itself be affected; the Fade's non-static nature could be spilling over to the real world (entire buildings/villages could disappear and new ones could appear randomly, the laws of physics could stop working temporarily for example)
And I hope we get some interesting quests based on this concept rather than 'go kill that demon terrorising village X' type quests.

I'm wondering about the Tranquil and the fade tear. In the "Tranquility" quest in DA2, Karl woke up for a while when Vengeance 'brought a bit of the fade' into the room as he went all mental. I really want a whole lot of angry tranquil mages

Apparently mages are getting a limited form of teleportation as a dodge maneuver due to the veil tears.
Aside from that, I imagine there will be a lot more demons to kill.
