I wouldn't call the yagh particularly competent, or at least not competent enough. He's only really as competent as his agents anyway, and they all failed to kill a single asari.

Was it ever really explained what this mutually beneficial arrangement actually entailed? What the hell kind of good would selling Shepard's body to the Collectors do if the ultimate goal of the Collectors is to serve the very thing that's going to kill everyone anyway?

What was the last, somewhat plausible number of estimated Reapers?

Yeah, that's almost a textbook overpowered mary-sue villain.

I'm pretty sure that that term doesn't apply to the antagonists.

In fan fiction, a Mary Sue is an idealized character representing the author.[1]

250 are shown powering up in the end of ME2, so we'd need about 1000 dreadnoughts to win... too bad we are an order of magnitude short (more if you don't assume that the Reapers will stand in front of our guns until they are all dead)

No it's not. It's rather odd and out of character. That just sounds like fanboyism on your end to me.

And I think making her one is a stupid waste of resources. I think the Yahg Broker was much more efficient and effective. Why can't I keept him? He's actually competent.

Really? Is that why LotSB is overwhelmingly considered the best or second best DLC? Clearly, the numbers are with me. Sounds to me that this makes most ME players who buy DLC guilty of 'fanboyism.'

Oh, Argumentum ad Populem. Textbook. You really should work for somebody who makes definitions for fallacies.

It was a good, fun DLC, but that doesn't make it a great development. Prove to me that it was.

I think the ending scene of ME2 showed around 300.

Wrong again, Massively. You claimed that liking LotSB was based on 'fanboyism.' If the majority of the players agree it was very high quality, which they do, then it clearly isn't fanboyism at all. It's a perfectly legitimate argument.

I apologize.

Villain Sue is the proper word

That doesn't mean "Liara becoming the Shadow Broker is one the best developments of the trilogy"

I don't suppose it could be proven, though I love the story of the DLC. The great OST helps too.

Well, which is it? Sure, the yahg is much better at the job but that doesn't make it out of character (in fact, it's the opposite - you'd expect her to be bad at that job because Liara is not nearly ruthless enough)

I'm not here to indulge your pointless whining about Liara. People asked for a sensible conventional victory scenario. I provided.

You just changed your argument (and were never correct to begin with).

The fanboyism comment was directed to you alone. Since that's what you are.

Otherwise, the rest of the argument completely relies on validation from others to feel the same as your 'legitimate argument'. Hence the Argumentum ad populum fallacy that you're falling back on.

I'm still waiting for you to prove how people like LotSB means that Liara becoming the SB is one of the best development's of the series.

It's about as pointless as your arguments calling it meaningful.

No you didn't by the way. I really don't think anyone here is convinced by your scenario. Like, at all.

I <3 aliens. They might look different, but really they're no different from any human at heart. All lives are of equal worth, no matter if they're alien or human.

Aliens are awesome but if they're no different than humans then it means we have a right to think some of them are a**holes and stalkers. :D

My opinion exactly. Which is why I find post-ME1 Liara to be creepy as hell:lol:

Oh yeah, sad what happened to that girl. One sniff of Shepard's pheromones and she was done for.

Phew.  Hey, what's up?

Well I made the mistake of buying Halloween candy 2 months ahead of time, needless to say I've already eaten most of it. Note to selves buy more candy.

Oh God, I forgot Holloween is coming up. All those rotten kids. Eeergh. >:(

Shush.  Halloween is marvelous.

Tonight's the night...

Not very original, but I convinced a lady friend to dress up in nothing but shrink wrap and duct tape so we'd have the couple theme.

Just make sure she has a better ending to her night than the show did, sir.  Shouldn't be tough, though.

If Fiddles would join me, she could be Hannah. That'd be awesome and sweet.

My country rejects your construction of reality.

Halloween is a great holiday! Otherwise, I don't know what you guys are rejecting. Don't you guys do it too?

Not really, it's kind of taken off in the last five-ish years but it's nothing like the scale of the US's Halloween. :P

You need to start a trend. You dress up in a costume to get drunk. Not much different than usual but YOU'RE IN A COSTUME! AND IT'S REALLY AWESOME AND SCARY WHEN YOU'RE DRUNK!

I wouldn't like LotSB, even if it was about a more preferred character.. It's not Liara that bugs me so much there as it is Shepard. I don't like the lighthearted battle dialogue and chummy behavior. I don't know how to put it.. it's like Shepard went from badass to some comedic character out of MASH or something. Something like that. Or maybe Michael Douglas in Romancing the Stone. Some lighthearted "caper" flick like that. Instead of the dark action of the rest of the game.
