I'm more angry about her not bringing it up as soon as Earth was hit, as soon as the Reapers entered the Milky Way. All of the cards should have been on the table then. 

Right, Let them keep their secrets during peace but once word reached the Asari about the beacon, the plans of a council Spectre(Saren), and Reapers the asari were in a place to do *something* and chose to do nothing. Even if the Councilor had no idea about the research...then. It still doesn't excuse the "highest level of government" and their out right inaction and refusal to even entertain the possible idea of the reaper's return. And in ME3, when a council representative is told of a Prothean device that could stop them. No one bothers to inform the Asari councilor (or she knew and did not inform anyone) that they had a device that could aid the cause until it was damn near too late.  


@Duskwanderer, Oh yeah Ashley called it clearly in ME1. When push comes to shove they will look out for themselves.

Thats not what I said, at all....  Take your extrapolation somewhere else.

I'm saying IF the beacon ONLY contained Catayst centric info, there were still numerous other artifacts that we say Shepard dangling over.

And the numerous pillars that are of different color than asari architecture but happen to match the beacon identically?

We must have played different games, then. I remember a pretty damn big cache, very similar to the one on Mars (the one humans shared). Are you saying that temple only had a Eden Prime type beacon in there?

Why bother? The beacon's destroyed and you can't hide newly discovered tech nearly as easily as you could something that you knew of before the Citadel government was even found. The Council's own rules should be sufficient.
