The mental gymnastics to try and excuse the asari for breaking a law, that they themselves put into place in the first place, just so they could stay ahead of the curve is hilarious.

TipsLeFedora wrote...

Liara is easily the worst character in the series.

This is true.

Stop lying to yourselves.

Computer monitors are forever tainted now.

I think Liara doesn't like femShep. Think she'd do this to maleShep?

It is done.

Now go back to discussing why asari are just as flawed and terrible as every other species

^Basically.  Humans aren't any better or worse, well they could be - but shiit - this whole Asari are always better just makes my head hurt.

Its cause they are women

Yes, the last people to break council law created an AI.  But they were not kicked of the citadel, they got away with "Don't do it again, ok?". It was the Alliance.

As I recall there was absolutely no evidence to indicate Alliance culpability

Also there is nothing misogynistic about the asari getting their fair share of dirt. Unless you are one of those insane feminists that automatically assumes that because women get any negative traits in fiction that the writer is secretly misogynistic.

Didn't you hear about BioWare's hidden agenda against lesbian romances?

Alright. Point taken, but you know I was referring to the Quarians, and in case I must spell it out, the Krogan in my second example. And I'm not even sure the council knew about Hannibal, and Cerberus created EDI, so the Alliance can't be punished for that. But then again, the Council does approve limited AI study anyway...

If anything, the way the asari are actually portrayed in the game is more misogynistic than anything you could come up with on an internet forum.  They're shallow, indecisive, and cowardly, and their diplomacy is basically just them blueballing (zing!) everyone else until they get their way.

That would explain the Traynormance being so crappy.

I'm very curious to see how Liara's appeal was if she wasn't a love interest, probably drop down ten-fold.

I'm trying to avoid the that the asari were essentially created for teenage nerds to ****** over. Only getting fleshed out (and slightly more interesting) in the following installments.

Makes you wonder how 2 kilometer tall killbots would even serve as a galactic moderator. It will all end in bloodshed.

They're obvious ****** material for teenage male nerds. Magical space pansexual/lesbo bimbos that like being mercs and strippers? Rofl.

Who also don't have pesky things like body hair or body fat

To be fair, body fat pretty much doesn't exist for any species other than the krogan...in those humps. The only other species to have something at least have a hair substitute are the Raloi. Too bad we never see them.

To what extent though? Just curious.

And mind you guys, I don't actually dislike Liara, never have (don't like her much either) - posted this numerous times, but there are aspects that just don't vibe with me and I'll take any opportunity to point it out.
