I wonder if Liara got herself pregnant during her little "gift" in ME3.

Nah you see in the next game Ultra Paragon Liara romancing David Shepard will be canon.
Black Hole Sues will abound and Javik will be the last living being free of the Bootlick virus.

I like this post for so many reasons.eyezonlyii wrote...
After reading since the whole beacon argument started, I can't remember a post that denigrated the Asari outlook on peace. The attacks on the Asari have been about the hypocrisy of the beacon. It's council law that any Prothean artifacts get turned in for study. The Asari did not do that (yes yes I know...IT WAS THE MATRIARCHS!!!) Anyway, they broke the law. They should be punished. You know why?Xilizhra wrote...
Because on an out-of-game level, I'm angry at this entire attempt at a plot point for the continuing masturbation over straightforward militaristic races and denigration of both the entire profession of politics/diplomacy and the general, well, preference for peace that the asari have. In addition to what I suspect are crypto-mysogynist leanings somewhere in here.
Because the last people to break council law created an AI. And they were kicked of the Citadel, and had an orbital strike threatened on a colony after roaming th galaxy.
The people before that tried to expand. Granted they caused a war in the process, but now they are slowly dying out because of the sins of their fathers (or fathers' fathers as the case may be)
If two other races can be punished so severely, then surely the Asari, who are the embodiment of diplomacy and civility can take a punishment to show fairness. After all, they'll outlive anyone who sanctions them.
And you can't cry mysogony on this thread as the Asari are monogenered. You can't hate a female, if she isn't female...
The law applies to all races, the Asari should not be excused because they're good diplomats or anything. None should be above justice and punishment.
Irrelevant if it was only the Matriarchs either, the Quarians as an entire species were punished for doing something that only affected their species and are still being punished for it despite everyone who had a hand in the creation of the Geth being long dead. That doesn't even take into consideration the fact that the Quarians only broke the laws regarding AIs, the laws regarding witholding Prothean technology are the absolute strictest laws in Council Space, a capital offense as it were.
I agree, I did like how that choice was there.StreetMagic wrote...

When creating a series where game saves will be checked in future installments to see what choices were made and who lived and who died...perhaps make sure to check if a character is actually dead and modify the experience accordingly?J. Reezy wrote...

Ex. Check sees that Lelliana is dead in DA:O, her role replaced by another character in DA2. It's not that hard.
If Wrex is dead in ME3 we get Wreav instead, if Mordin is dead we get someone else, etc etc.

That's a start but it needs to go beyond simple character and dialogue replacements imo. Not being able to make peace with the Geth if Tali doesn't have the clout of an admiral or if she's dead is a step in a better direction. But maybe whole different missions should open up or close depending on the choices made. Maybe different enemies could be fought. Something with important gameplay and story differences could really sell players on choices mattering in this and their other "RPG" series.Astartes Marine wrote...

They need to pay more attention to what they write and if they give a player a choice they should at least honor it.

In any case, 'paying attention' has utterly nothing to do with it. You think that was in DA 2 because the developers just forgot about it?

Bioware has proven they can't handle continuity even without taking account a save import mechanic(ex. "ah yes reapers" and Cerb sith empire).
