Just wondering if there's anyway to delete these?  I've got a bunch of career saves, most under the same name (I'm not an imaginative person), and I'm looking to clean them up before I get ME2.  I know I can't do it within the game but does anyone know of another way to get rid of them?

Yes you can do it in the game - from the main screen, go to Load Career, and you should be given an option to switch careers. The game you played last will be the active career (shown on the top of the screen and will be the one you cannot delete), and if you select the other ones you should be given a choice to delete careers. I think it is Y but don't quote me on that.

Ok thanks but does that just delete my saved games or does it get rid of the career information for the Select Existing ID option?

I don't know exactly (I'm generally a PC gamer), but often times you can just browse the content of your harddrive and delete files off it that way. Atleast thats how it works for other games.

If you are talking about the careers that is impossible to delete even via System Settings options, unluckily this issue is not solved yet.
The old forum was plenty of threads concerning this annoying problem.

Take a look there, but last time I've checked no solution was found. Someone have deleted the whole account and recovered the gamertag via xbl, but I dont know if he succeeded.
I can't do it because I have too many other games' data that I need, so deleting everything and recover is not good for me.

Maybe it will be fixed some day, but I'm losing hope.

If you wipe and recover your entire profile it will wipe the old careers(heh found this out the hardway) unfortunatley it also wipes everything else(tho you can restore your gamer tag).

P.S.- 4 year olds and X-Box controllers DO NOT MIX!

Really? This is an issue? Just go to your system settings, and find "Memory". Click "Games" and scroll down to Mass Effect. There should be a file for every save. It's annoying as hell to delete them manually, but it gets the job done.

The Gay Warden: No, it doesn't. The final game saves (used for New Game+ and ME2 importing) do not show up on the Xbox HDD, as Colonist Sole Survivor stated above.

I can confirm, I think, that deleting your gamertag profile, then recovering it, may kill all of them though. I did so for an unrelated reason (and cleared my HDD cache at the same time), then when Pinnacle Station hit, I noticed I had no final career saves whatsoever, and had to load all of my Shep's autosaves 1/2 way through the final boss fight to complete the game and make more.

I did that for mine, and while it deletes the save, it does not delete the file name and will show in the actual game

I am stuck with one I do not need or want. I made the mistake of deleting the save within the file name and not just deleting the file name. Now, its there

Ok so if I did this I'd get rid of the careers as well as all achievments and data for all my games?  Would I still be able to load my saves?  What I mean is I'm doing a current playthrough and have a game save (my only one I deleted the others).  If I were to do the profile delete and restore my gamertag would I still be able to load that saved game?

You should be able to wipe just the profile and leave the saves themselves, however dont take this as fact since when my nephew got ahold of my system the little monster wiped everything on my HDD so I am not sure.
