Should I buy an Armor or a Shield for my Cleric first? Can my Cleric use a big shield (2000xp one)?

 
Ummm, depends on your statistics? I presume you mean the Twin Dragon Greatshield? In which case, check your stats. It requires 20 strength. Wait for the armor as Maughlin stocks up better armor when he becomes a cheeky **** (when you spend enough souls buying his crap). Speaking of that cheeky git:

You could buy the falconer armor if you wanted (or the standard armor if you want to save a little; it's not as good, but both sets will be outclassed soon enough anyway).

I wouldn't bother with any of his shields, but you could get the silver eagle if you really wanted one. There's a shield in the first dungeon that would actually serve you nearly as well, though (it comes closer to the end, however).

Note that greatshields don't allow you to parry (you do a slam attack instead), and they're quite heavy. You may end up fat rolling if you try to use one so soon (whether or not that's a real issue depends on your play style), if you even have the strength required to wield it.

Already had a curve shield and my Armor is the best that can be found. I upgraded to lvl 17 (more like a lvl 4 actually). So to move forward in Story should I head toward the Forest of Fallen Giants and go up the ladder near the river where the white knight is surrounded with enemies or should I go somewhere else?

It's up to you. You could go forward in the Forest or you could go to a different place (to the right of the talking cat's house). Since you started Cleric you've already got the Mace, which means you are already well-equipped to deal with the other area.

An expansion like Artorias of the Abyss is good. "Episodic" DLC bull **** is even worst than what big publishers are doing. They're £6 each so I'm not sure of their worth or if they're worth buying. When Capcom releases an expansion for their RPG, developed months after its release, which provides immense value and replayability whilst From Software does Capcom style DLC, something is wrong.

 

I can only hope Namco is responsible for this crap (because they're quite a greedy company) and this doesn't reflect the future for From Software.

Yeah... definitely going to wait on this one. It's a shame there won't be as much online traffic when a definitive edition gets a release.

i just hope that game will provide some challenge in these dlcs. Aota is a nice dlc, be it bosses or lose wise. I hope dlcs for DkS2 would not disappoint as well.

... i want some weapons from the tails of the beasts and weapons from reforged broken swords... and i want armor of the Pursuer.

game is complete. from software said, that decision about dlc(s) for DkS2 will be made based on sales of the game across all platforms. we shall see, price is not that high really, for a season pass.

 

i just hope we will have some better gameplay and content in those dlcs.

 

sidenote: damn spiders on NG5 are running so fast, given that Freja is worthless, and spiders are too dangerous, alluring skulls will save the day.

Upgrading Strength, Hit-points and Stamina seems the only good way to get the hell out of the first three Bone-fires region (Majula land).

*keeps on killing undead in the Tutorial area and River area*

Strength: 15, I went slaying undead through the fort (in Forest of Fallen Giants), but got scared of the Skeleton with reaper (or pike?) and returned to the Majula. My Hit-points is still too low to risk anything.

Strength: 18. Finally made it to Cardinal's tower Bonfire and have almost cleared that region.

I realized if I kill a creature 10 times, it will be vanished forever.

I made it to this place, then I saw a giant eagle put a strong warrior on the roof next to me. How strong he is? (No, I don't mean that Swordsman in the left)

I've killed the White Knight, but it was a miserable one! But This one...

He's a boss you're likely to face later on known as the Pursuer. He only spawns up on that ledge once. If you either die the first time or jump off, he'll be relocated to his actual "boss location". He's not terribly difficult, as his move set is predictable. But he can pack a punch and is fairly quick.

If you felt lucky, punk, you could have killed him there and then. But you didn't feel lucky and now he's got away.   

 

I've yet to kill him on that platform. I tried in both play-throughs but was forced to roll off as he got me low down to health each time. Third time is the charm right? We'll see.
