Title.

For example, enemies who see two players might choose to attack the one with the higher score or avoid the guy not killing anything because they're not a threat.  Or perhaps some other factor.  It'd make sense to me and would make the AI more intelligent.  As far as I know, prioritization only occurs by way of lines of sight/availability.

If they did I'd want it to be something for tactical benefit, not something dumb like score or promoting leechers.

To me, the person that should be killed first is the one spamming Shield Boost on the group to keep all of them alive.

and they probably have the lowest score.

No.  Also, there's a little more that goes into prioritization besides just line of sight or proximity.  I think enemies favor re-targeting the player they targeted for their last attack.  I also think enemies prioritize players that are damaging them.  And I think enemies prioritize attacking targets whose shields are down, which is tactical.

Forgot about leechers.  We need a better system to kick them from games.

Yeah I can probably link that thread. I believe Cyonan or linx wrote it?

Wondering if weapons fire factors into the equation somehow as well?

It is observed that AI tracks visibility arcs
from the players, and AI would have different behaviour in and out of
visibility arcs.

It is unknown whether the AI observe and back trace tracer fire. This is particularly important for snipers.

It is unknown whether the AI is drawn to weapons fire and explosions.

It is unknown how cover/ concealment affects detection.[/list]social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/343/index/13287526

Assuming weapons fire has some play in this even though it's not proven. This is an old thread though someone may have already established or disproven some of the suppositions.

Seems like when there's a Jugg on the team the enemies swarm to him. Plenty of times, as a non-Jugg, I'll try to attract them away shooting, etc. but they remain bent of the Jugg.

I'm pretty sure the visibility part of the aggro equation plays a big role in that.

That would be pretty cool. Then maybe I could kill some stuff while playing with my score-whoring friends.

I am fully in favor of enemies prioritizing other players.

I kinda wish that aggro had a more direct effect on enemy aggression, one that wasn't necessarily relying on proximity.

That way, a Juggy can actually enter a mode where he's targeted automatically in place of his teammates.
