I just received a copy of the Mass Effect Trilogy, all 3 games, and i have just beaten the first one. I am about to go for my first playthrough of mass effect 2, but i have a few minor questions before i do go for that.

FIrst, Mass Effect 1:

I understand that when i import my character into a new game plus, it carries over. From what i read, when you take your character you just beat the game with, and go through new game plus, you kep your talent points and your level, but here are the 2 questions that i have never gotten answers for.

Do my armor, mods, and weapons carry over as well? when i begin Eden prime, will i be wearing the armor i completed th game with, with the mods i have on it, as well as my assault rifles and shotguns with their mods attached still?

Do the six main characters you can put into your squad with you keep their inventories as well? such as, if i meet Tali later on, will she have the pistol i gave her with the mods it has, as well as her advanced armor? or will their inventories be empty, and left with just the basic stuff?

Now for Mass Effect 1, into ME2:

I understand that when i import my character into ME2, every major, and minor, choice, even missions, will give me more options and missions not to mention dialouge and more than it would give me if i just went for playing ME2 without going through the first game.

My wuestions are simple, really. I understand you get bonuses when you play the first game, get to levl 40 and above, but do they stack? or do those level specific bonuses give you what they say, and nothing more from previous level bonuses?

One more question about importing. I understand that if i grab Mass Effect 1 and import my character into mass effect 2, everything i did is carried over, but what if i import a character i beat the game TWICE with?

Example (that will be the reality of what i do) i beat the the first game, but i missed out on a few smaller side missions cause i didn't know about them, and they didn't come up. i want to new game plus this character, and complete the entire game 100%, all side missions, and beating the game by ridding the universe of soverign.

My questions about that are: Can i import a twice completed character from ME1 into ME2?

And finally, will the import choose my FIRST playthrough, or my most recent playthrough?

i really need these answered, so if you only have 1 answer for me, then please do so, it would help immensely, and i am sorry for the very long message. i want to understand before i do anything rash.

You can import your character from ME1 into ME2 and that character from ME2 into ME3.

And finally, will the import choose my FIRST playthrough, or my most recent playthrough?

You can have several ME playthroughs, and choose which one to import.

I think i asked if i could import a character i completed the game with more than once. i made a character, and beat the game with them, then went through the game AGAIN with them using new game plus, so does that mean the character can still be imported into 2 even though i beat saren with that same character more than once?

I didn't ask if i could have several DIFFERENT playthroughs and could import to 2, what i asked, and meatn, was if i used one character more than once in the first game, would the import choose my first, or more recent playthrough using that character. in other words, let me asked in a simplified version:

When i import my ME1 character into ME2, after using that exact character more than one time by using new game plus, will the save import my FIRST or more RECENT playthrough using that exact same character.

will they import my choices from the first time i used the character, or my most recent travels after making them level 60.

You can play ME1 repeatedly, but only the one you choose to import into ME2 will matter.

sooo what your saying is even if i do new game plus, i get levels ans points, but it won't be the same save, it'll be a NEW save. a new save just with the old saves stuff.

Yes. You keep all your armor, mods, credits, and equipment. Only the medigel and grenade upgrades do not carry over, and neither do the licenses.

Do the six main characters you can put into your squad with you keep their inventories as well? such as, if i meet Tali later on, will she have the pistol i gave her with the mods it has, as well as her advanced armor? or will their inventories be empty, and left with just the basic stuff?

Squadmates will reset their inventories, BUT all their armor, mods, and weapons will stay in your inventory so you can give them back to your squadmates when you recruit them.

Now for Mass Effect 1, into ME2:

I understand that when i import my character into ME2, every major, and minor, choice, even missions, will give me more options and missions not to mention dialouge and more than it would give me if i just went for playing ME2 without going through the first game.

You do not get more missions in ME2 for an import. Only more unique dialog/cameos.

Import bonuses do not stack.
  - Level 40-49 charaqcters start at level 2 in ME2 and start with some extra credits.
  - Level 50-59 characters start at level 3 in ME2 and start with more extra credits.
  - Level 60 characters start at level 5 in ME2 and start with even more extra credits.

One more question about importing. I understand that if i grab Mass Effect 1 and import my character into mass effect 2, everything i did is carried over, but what if i import a character i beat the game TWICE with?

When you import a character into ME2, you select from your pool of available saves. So if you beat the game twice with John Shepard, one level 50 and the other level 60, you will get to choose from:
  - John Shepard - Level 50
  - John Shepard - Level 60

Each save is unique and contains all the choices you made during that playthrough.

that answers everything, and i thank you very much. i understand the save thing is basically just new save same sheperd, as long as it's a unique save, no matter the number of playthroughs that sheperd has had, its a uniqyue save and nothing before that save was created will carry over. basically, the answer was most recent playthrough of that sheperd if you choose that save.

so i thank you all, all answers have been given to my questions, i thank you all.

There is one small issue for gear importing into an NG+ in ME1, that has to do with omnitools, the squadmate one's don't carry over correctly IIRC.
