Ideally, I wish there was no writer's pet.

I never romanced Liara...and I love how she gets so much time.

I have always viewed her as one of Shepards very good/close friends, along with Garrus and Tali.

My biggest problem with Liara in 3 was even with my Shepard clearly with Tali the game was at every chance it got trying to push me into a relationship with Liara.

I hear that. In my first two playthroughs, I didn't romance any character in ME1 or ME2 (BroShep saved Kaidan and FemShep saved Ashley, and I didn't want Liara. I like Tali, but not as a romance, and I didn't care for Miranda or Jack until the third game, and FemShep's choices were lame.

All of a sudden, I'm being told by Aetheyta that I'm dating Liara. Liara is the one showing up to rescue me on the Citadel, flirting with me. Liara is my final thoughts.

No, not a chance. My relationship with her in ME1 was borderline hostile, how the hell did we become good friends in the one month between ME1 and the start of ME2.

There should have been a formula like Dragon Age to track who you liked.

I'm fine with Liara getting a lot of screen time. There aren't too many who get pushed aside just for her. Zaeed and Kasumi aside, the only "legit" squaddies who I think suffer are Jacob and Legion.

But I'm a Liaramancer, so yay for me!

My solution to the writer's pet was to ignore her after Mars Not talking to the pet at all during the game will result in her not offering the gift in London(if you choose to talk to her in London)

space hamster would make a good writer's pet
