So Samara is able to kill somebody just by punching them in the face... or at least that's what I got from that video...

She seems to be one step higher, the ones you fought in ME 1 are all babies ^^.

Also, seems like most likely you're forced to bring Grunt aboard your ship after a deadly battle, and he's put into a kolto-esque tank to recover. Then you release him to try and talk him into joining your team, etc. etc.
