Um, but thoses are SPECIES, actual meatbags... A geth is a geth it must have been programmed at some point it could not be persuaded as it has no emotion etc.

The Geth have emotions. They have religion. They appreciate art. They are sentient in every sense of the word. If their numbers are reduced to too few, they fall to animal-like behaviour-patterns, but remain individuals, and regain their mental faculties when regrouping back to large enough numbers.

Legion is ofcourse an exception to this. He doesn't need the other Geth to act as individual.

Would I trust him? Yes, if he gives me good enough reason. I have nothing against the Geth as a race. They just had the misfortune to have panic-prone creators, and get Indoctrinated en masse by a creature they thought to be god.

I just hope that I can convince Tali not to hate his guts...

It seems like if you don`t do someone's loyalty mission, they will not trust you, including legion.

I do hope that there's more to it than just that. From the videos it definitely looks as if there is, which is good.

Why not? I trusted Wrex, and his species went about conquering already populated worlds. I trusted Garrus, and one of his species tried to destroy all life as we know it by letting the reapers through the Main Relay. I will trust Mordin, even though his species designed arguably the most terrible bio-weapon ever.

Hit the nail on the head. Image IPB

Also, how many of your companions can you truly trust? At least with Legion you can use AI Hacking. Image IPB

which seems really likely....he might just be that, a  jacked geth

Do they have emotions though, I'm sure I recall Legion saying in a vid;

"We do not experience your fear, but we understand the effect it has on you" (or something like)

Doesn't neccecarily mean no emotions, but could well do.

Just remember this folks.

At one point in the game sovereign says "We Are Legion"...

... after hearing that do you still think what you do?

Could mean an entirely different emotional experience.

This quote does not refer to that specific Geth. If so, Sov would have considered he could lose, but he did not, as he stated on the citadel, so that's not likely. "We are legion" just meant, that there are more Reapers out in the dark then we could count at ease.

I'll install Windows on it in the very first minute if it doesn't give a really good reason to let it function.

I don't even trust my own race - I KNOW they're a bunch of back-stabbing opportunists.

However - that means he'll be treated equally on my crew. He screws up -
I turn him into an XBox: Sol III

Turning him into a Microsoft product? Eww, that's harsh! :P
But as a side note, I heard, from a probably unconfirmed source, that Reaper tech was involved with Shepard's resurrection. So that might be why Legion follows Shep.

There isn't a single character (except for Liara and maybe Garus and Tali) who I would trust. I ain't going to put my life into the hands of those new squadmates... no way.

No fear doesn't mean no emotions. And I interpreted that as statement that the Geth don't fear the unknown like the organics do; a claim of superiority. They've certainly demonstrated a strong desire to survive, which directly translates to fear of death.

In other words, you're going to die at the end.

No, and that's what makes it such a compelling squadmate to imagine. Legion is even more exciting, when you consider that trust is a major theme of the dirty dozen in ME2, and there are supposedly in-game bonuses and repercussions for your trust level, a la Dragon Age.

I guess my trust would hinge on if he could understand and, more importantly, believe in human morals. You know, stuff like "Don't kill a friend even if your enemy offers you incentive" or "Don't leave Shepard to die in order to escape from the suicide mission". Stuff that (most) organics understand. If I can make sure that he is someone who is more than a killer calculator (always making decisions that would benefit itself) then yah, I'll trust him.

Does anyone remember in ME1 where Sovereign said "We are Legion" when conversing with shepard? Any thoughts on if he downloaded his consciousness into a geth like he did to the deceased Saren?

Yeah I've been thinking that!

It just adds another reason not to take him with me and considering I suspect Tali will up and leave if he comes along I know who I value higher.

I don't trust any of the new ones very much, but Legion seems more thrustworthy than SuZe. I don't want Psychopaths on my ship. Machines can't go psycho, which is an andvance.

I would only trust Legion if it was kept within shooting distance at all times. I would also settle for attaching an EMP bomb to its body, just for safety sake.

I'll judge Legion as an individual, same as with any other individual.

Also, as I've had to say in dozens of similar threads, it's developer confirmed that you can recruit 10 all the squadmates, go to the mission with 10 squadmates, and complete the mission with 10 squadmates. There is no character that will DEFINITELY betray you. You're just RPin' a bit hard.
