Do ME2 characters have more lines in "Citadel" than in core ME3?

This just occured to me today.  With the party and the individual scenes with each character, is it possible that the ME2 squad mates recorded more lines for the Citadel DLC than for the core ME3 game?

It is quite possible.

When original ME3 had enough pages of text for 9 books, Citadel had about 1 book text just itself, and there were minimal Codex entries and technical texts.

I agree, quite possible. The scenes are pretty short with Jacob, Miranda, and others but there are also a lot of "barks", they call them, during the party so it very well could be.

If I remember correctly, the conditionals for the Citadel DLC matched that of all of KOTOR.

Anyone checked out how the data files are arranged? It might be possible to measure this. (Can't do it myself since I don't have Levi.)

I dare say quite a few of them have more lines thanks to the blink and you miss it cameo's in the main game.

It's certainly possible just from the party alone. Though the obvious exceptions are Garrus & Tali (who were squaddies in the main game), Mordin (who only got one set of datapad lines in Citadel) and Legion (who got nothing!)

Jacob was more interesting in Citadel then in ME2.

Probably because he cheat's on your ass.

What still irks me is that if they could crank out the EC, Omega, Leviathan, and the Citadel DLCs in a year's time, then what would the main game be like if they had just a little more time (well, time and awareness that people wanted these elements addressed in the first place). I like some of this content, and it's impressive how much work they got done.. but none of it is integrated well.

Really? I know games have come a long way, but for 1 DLC to match all of KOTOR? Did a dev say this?

Sure. But however much stuff was in the game, if they had another year to make more stuff, they could have.

Can you rephrase that? Maybe because I just woke up, but it doesn't compute. I can't tell if you're agreeing or not. B)

In any case, I think the emphasis on DLC probably hurts game deadlines in general.
