So what? BioWare are not banning anyone for it and that is the same as saying that it is not considered cheating anymore. And what do you care if he gets a high N7 by buying recruit packs, jealous or something?

I like to play the TGI, I'll admit -- usually with the Phaeston, Argus or the Vindicator, never done it with the Harrier or another UR AR, except maybe the saber. He's a turian! I like all turians. And --

Cheating is cheating, whether or not you are caught doing it.  And I reiterate, why cheat if you are good?  Good players don't need to cheat to top a score/leaderboard.  I'm fine with him getting a high N7 buying recruit packs...but he should be able to get the credits to do so without having to cheat if he is as good as you say. 

Personally I think putting extra effort into getting a really high N7 is wasted effort.  I am done promoting, so no, not jealous of kook.  I think kook has fun in a different way than I do, so there isn't a point in feeling jealous or competing with him.

and OT: I do love me some good Krogan Vanguard melee time, smashing all the things.

I hope I didn't come across that way...I actually love this game because of the team element to it.  There are not enough awesome co-op games out there.  It is fun to mess around with friends and try to take first place, but that is all in good fun, not serious competition.  If I wanted competition I would go play a PvP game.

Cheating is always illusory.  For me, I don't care if someone catches me or not, I do not want to cheat because I think it defeats the purpose of playing the game.  The thing that is weird about kook is that he cheats, and then lords his cheating over people, and gets some kind of high off of it.

You are just angry because you failed to clutch a Platinum wave together with 2 other players when I happened to get grabbed by a Banshee on wave 9. That's what usually happens if I get instakilled so don't feel too bad about it man. We would have made it if I would have had sound on but sadly I need to turn the sound off if I play late

I heard it from a very reliable source who is one of the most respected members on BSN. Apparently he has played with both Hooch and Kook and heard what they both had to say about the game and such, both before the game and after the game. If he reads this I hope he will come in here to post a confirmation of it so that we can stop pretending that Hooch won fair and square.
