Yup.
Liara and Tali were both quite eager for Shepard to pop their alien cherries.

Then you think badly incorrectly, as you can tell from... well, this thread. I have no intention of making you walk if you don't want to, but if the mere presence of a sidequest you don't enjoy sends you on a frenzy of wanting to ban it, I frankly think you're the one being unreasonable. You're pretty much saying that there is only one way that a Bioware game could work, and I should walk if I don't like it. I don't think taking away romances would inconvienience people that much. They can still develop relationships with all of the characters. They can still create fanfics. They can still discuss their favorite characters with like-minded people. There just won't be a sex scene, g.
I'm not exactly in a frenzy nor am I angry here. I'd like to think that I've been pretty rational here. I'm not attacking anyone. I just want to know this: why is it essential for your favorite character to be in love with the PC? Is that the only way they are enjoyable?

You could probably do at least five romance DLC packs. #5 being the one with all of the kinky stuff.
1. bad boys 'n' girls
2. sweet things
3. clingers
4. forbidden love
5. freaky non-human fun
Would probably sell like hotcakes, especially if it was Day-1.
What about the classics?
1. Virginal girl next door.
2. Crazy off the wall, let's have it on right here.
I mean, these are BioWare-approved after all.
3. The virginal girl next door who really wants to have it right there.CatholicChantry schoolgirl fetish?

What if they charged for showing sex scenes and kissing? Like right when you select the opion to fvck them, a message pops up saying "please pay $1.99".

And it makes them far, far more enjoyable, yes. There's an emotional connection that not everyone feels, which is fine, but it's definitely present in my case.

The -mancer crowd are a pretty dedicated lot. They could get away with fairly steep price, I'd wager. I'd say $10 a pop at least.
Per character? Or for the whole she-bang?
Per character... although in order to soften the initial hostility a bit it might be wise to pair a male and female in each pack.
Once players have been eased into the new marketing gimmick, they can do it on a single character basis.

Guys, you're essentially turning BioWare into digital pimps.
They're already headed that route, aren't they?
If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Bring on the microtransactions.
It would be a nightmare for PR.
The fan rage would be epic, but they would sell in the end.
You learn quickly, young grasshopper.

Because the two types of relationship are very different, affecting different emotional centers of the brain and fulfilling different needs. But why? The personality of the person would still be the same. The friendship would still be the same. The only difference is that (s)he is your bestfriend instead of your (girl)boyfriend.

Better to have the option of romancing rather than take it away from the player. Dragon Age is all about choices, is it not? If people choose to concentrate more on them rather than the rest of the game, that's their business. Bioware gets the money either way and we continue to get the stories we love to play.
Oh, indeed, but think of how much more money BW will make if they put the romances in a DLC pack.
