Because the two types of relationship are very different, affecting different emotional centers of the brain and fulfilling different needs.

But you'll still feel the same way regardless if the feelings are the same for the character. It doesn't take away from the character. Not one bit. Also, you're in the middle of the biggest war since the Blight. Ain't nobody got time for that.

It takes interactions away from the story, ones that can be very useful for roleplaying and which I find quite valuable for shaping my character. And sex, if you're motivated enough, is as easy as finding a place where two people can sleep.

On the note of DLC it does work voltage inc is a otome game producer and they charge 4 dollars per character for 16 chapters. Then an additional 3 bucks (or is it 2) for a 3 chapter epilogue. Then another 4 bucks for another 16 chapter season 2, and so on and again another 3 (or 2) bucks for those epilogues. When they usually have 6 characters per game it comes out to a fair sum.

But those games are focused on romances. If BW was to do a romance DLC I'd have to have a lot more content then they'd usually put in their romances to wanna purchase it.

Not even that, necessarily. Pretty much two people is all it requires.

I've heard of people having sex on the dance floor (with others dancing all around them).

That seems like it'd be much easier to get away with for straight couples.

So you think romances should become optional paid content so what's to stop them from charging $1.99 for super duper warrior double axe slash. can we please be rational and agree the more content and and the more options they pack into the vanilla experience the better off we all are as gamers. No one should be suggesting they should segregate content they disagree with/dislike or they may find the shoe on the other foot and have to shell out more for the things they like too.
