I think that romances add so much more headcanons, fan fics, fan art, and all that stuff due to love for characters. Meaning, people spend a lot more time than just an hour based on those romances. I don't understand how this is automatically a terrible thing. You've never played a Bioware game without romance. How do you know for sure you will not like it?
I don't care about people's preferences. I care about the quality of the game, and when the writer's have to spend extra time deciding on the exact perfect way to execute one hour of content, then the other 39 hours will have less focus on them. Even if it's just that little bit.
Just based off of the romance threads I've seen on this page so far, people want Bioware to take the romances deeper than they have before. That requires planning, man.
