He is bad is his own way but not that bad.

And I put 20 hours into Fallout and Skyrim before saying "fck it I'm STILL not enjoying this at all, this entire game is grind, I care about no one, the story is a bunch of newspaper clippings shot through a fan and glued where they land". For both games. They may be technical acheivements scope wise, but I'd honestly rather drive the Mako to every planet again than play these games. Matter of fact, I get much of the same empty pointless feeling from the 2 experiences...hmm

Open world RPG's aren't for you.

One could say that marketing dropped the ball for ME3. It looked like another generic bald space marine showdown that Earth/pseudo-Earth is involved in in the ads/tv spots. Also I never once saw a poster or ad for it in print/other media.

Yeah that was the problem with ME3, marketing.
But yeah ME3 got more money than it should have.

As we can see this on this Wikipedia article, Grand Theft Auto V is the most expensive game ever made.

Beating out the runner up non MMO game by a massive 166%. And thus probably beating out most games by many hundreds or thousands of percent.

So yes, it is phenomenally more expensive than other games.

It beat the runner up by about 52%.

Uh, no. 150 is 150% of 100. It beat it by over 150%.

Take a look at the list again, David, and I mean the whole list.

Dammit. Okay, you're right.

Who the hell ordered these entries?

Well, I at least I can say it beat out the most expensive non-MMO by 166%.

Tomb raider costed 100 million? **** I know it started awesome but damn I can't wait to see the rest of this 100 million.

Anyway you're both wrong, on that list it beats SWTOR by a bit over 125%

Bioware did say they were looking at Skyrim after it sold really well

I wonder what they looked at.

The storytelling, there's an obvious resemblance

No, they looked at level design which is one reason why DAI is going to have some huge open levels.

Somebody missed a joke.

Well lame jokes that take digs at bioware get tiring.

*sigh*

I'm personally glad that Mass Effect isn't that popular compared to GTA.

I hate "casual" fans.

And video game players wonder why they aren't taken seriously.

It beats by about 25%, I got my own rough maths wrong. Stay in school, kids.

Anyway, I'm not surprised nor do I care that GTA is likely the most expensive game ever made. It made its money back in less than a day, and the cost I think is realistic for the scale and quality. I don't know how much Mass Effect 3 cost or how much it made, so I can't comment.

A certain amount of sales isn't the same as a certain amount of profit.

Just pointing out we can't be sure if it made it's expenses back or not. $800 million in sales may not mean $266 million in profit.

Why is that? If the Mass Effect franchise was significantly more popular, but was no different than what we got, would you feel any differently about the games? What are casual fans exactly, and why would you hate them?

What does it matter though? I've never played action mode, and have no intention to bother. Is there any particular problem with it that affects the game?

Besides the fact it is a pointless addition that *removes* core aspects of the game for people that say "Thinking is too hard for me to make a choice"

Aka David. Or at least I think David is the one that defends action mode... I don't remember anymore.
