I went to the ME2 site to look at the previews of the game. There is a number of videos in the site which I viewed.
Given the experience I had with DA:O ( the game doesn't look close to what te promo videos looked like and the characters didn't move even close to what is seen in the videos) I'd like to know if the game indeed looks like and plays like the videos presented in the ME2 web  site. I am not just talking about the locations, I am talking about the fluidity and range of movement of the characters and how they interact with the environment.

Somewhere around the forums lurks a polish ingame footage of al little sidequest. Make your own decision upon that. ;)

Are you talking about the trailer (singular) made by Blur Studios?

How could you possibly expect the game to be on-par with choreographed high-level CGI?

Those are just little awesome mini-movies.

Can you tell the difference between in-game engine and CGI video?  If so then yes the game looks like ti does with the in-game shots but not so much the CGI by Blur.

uhh.... your talking about the cg trailers? those are outsourced to another company and have virtually nothing to do with the actual game, no game looks nearly as good as a cg film dude.

every other vid, for DAO and ME2, involve gameplay and cutscenes, so those are accurate.

The Blur, or Dirty Dozen trailer is made by the same company that did the awesome trailer for DA:O. So no it won't be exactly like in the Blur trailer, but Mass Effect is going to blow DA:O out of the water when it comes to graphics.

Grunt is not going to be taking Thresher Maws down in one shot, and Thane will not be doing amazing gun-kata moves in actual gameplay.

I appreciate the info.

Most mayor games I've seen advertised or previewed include actual footage of the game and gameplay in the ad/preview, not just CGI video clips based on the game. I find that practice to be deceptive advertisement. That was my mayor peeve with DA:O, the trailer looked awesome, but the actual game looked like and played like games released in the 1990's.

Yes, the promotional videos are all taken from in game.

DA:Os were too, but they were taken from the PC version and they had to really scale back the graphics on the Xbox and PS3 version so if you had one of those you probably would have seen some inconsistency.

If there's one thing you do not have to do in the PS3, it is scale back graphics.

This DA:O promotional video was definitely not taken from the game.  This clip makes the game look like a NextGen game,  showing the characters jumping and running up straight when armed instead of hunchbacks jogging.
