IS IT POSSIBLE OR NOT? LETS DISCUSS!!!

Ok I realize that most of you are concerned about them putting your hawk or your warden in the game. The main concern appears to be weather or not bioware can import your real characters and not just some cheap knock off the person you put hours and hours of time into. What if the beings they import only look like are characters and that's it. What if the personality, the emotions, the feel, and even the voice they appear with is not of your precious hawke or warden?

For example my warden was the best character I have ever made in a video game. He was not technically evil, but he was not good either and this is how I wanted him to be. When he was faced with the decision on weather or not to side with the dalish elves or the werewolves he sided with the latter. He did this simply because and I quote "A werewolf army is more useful to me". He did anything it took to win. He was violent, harsh, and straightforward. But most of all OBSESSED with power and did anything it took to gain it. He made Lord Balen king despite the fact that Balen was clearly an evil douche bag. But since Balen would let my warden have and army of stone golems he sided with him. Plus he "wanted his face on one of those big statues". The only person my warden truly cared about was morrigan because she was just like him. But even then he also saw Morrigan as a potential opportunity to gain more power. Which turned out to be the jackpot because she was not only going to save his life but make him the father of a OLD GOD BABY!!.

So with that being said I would also be crushed if bioware imported some cheap knock of Aizen (my wardens name). How would they do it? I don't know. But what I do know is that they are doing the same thing they did with the questions of weather or not we could play as a qunari or weather or not we could import our worlds from the first two games. when they were asked that question they would simply say "we cant answer that right now". But as we all know they gave us what we wanted. they have been asked about hawke and warden and have gave the same answer.

Now this is just my opinion but I think that they want to put them in the game but they are concerned about the same problems you guys are. and just like what they did with qunari and importing they are trying to find a way to not only get it done but get it done right. so until then they wont answer any questions regarding hawke and warden being in DAI. So now ask yourself if bioware could find a way to bring the character into DAI without messing them up would you want them in?

ALL IM ASKING IS TO GIVE BIOWARE A CHANCED.Posted Image

If my Warden appeared in person in Inquisition--and the possibility for an in-person appearance for them and Hawke (as opposed to references or codex entries, for example, if that) is still very up in the air as I understand it--I would take him any way I could get him. As the Warden is an NPC, I'm curious what the devs believe their plans and activities might be...I'd be very interested to see it.

People are making far too much of this 'Hawke and Warden in DA:I' thing.

I'm pretty sure Bioware have promised us no such thing. I doubt we'll get more than a few lines' mention of them, if that.

Don't get your hopes/back up.

A Warden/Hawke cameo would be really stupid no matter how they do it. And the idea of a Sarcastic Warden - Sarcastic Hawke - Sarcastic Inquisitor conversation is enough to give me nightmares. No one should have to suffer through something like that.

I think the best bet for an actual appearance of the Warden (if they survived) would be watching them at the front of some army, gesturing as if pep talking them, far enough so that you dont get to see actual expressions or hear their voice, so people won't complain about those. Though I'm sure they'd find a way to complain about the gesturing being OOC for their Warden, etc., that's as best as it can get if we're talking about a cameo, in my opinion.

In case of Hawke, it'd be way easier to give them a cameo staying somewhat true to their character, since Hawke's personality is easier to predict based on the DA2 system. They could just stick to one line or two in the dominant tone of the Hawke you imported/the dominant tone you chose for Hawke in the Dragon Age Keep. Still, obviously there will be people complaining about this too, but I guess that when it comes to cameo Hawke would be more acceptable than the Warden.

I personally would love to see both and hear them speak (and even see them with their LI's) but I get that it's a loooong shot and for every person that likes it there will be a gazillion who won't, so I don't keep my hopes up or anything. Just some mentions will be fine with me.

No sorry i can't see a way NPC Hawke/Warden can stay true to the prior complex player characterisation of them. I'm all for hearing rumours about what their up to dependent on previous player choices but really can't see them in person being anything but a disaster.

I say we go back to talking to the bartender and being able to hear various rumours from them. Throw in a rumours about the warden/hawke and leave it up to the player to decide if it's true or not.

No, it's an awful idea no matter how you implement it.

Why do people suggest things like this?

I love to see my warden and hawkee but I don't believe it's possible and if just read the comments here your see most people will be disappointed on the outcome so proby better to leave them out and hear a rumor or two about them as you travel around

I would love to see my Warden and Hawke.....but the problem with the Warden is....all those mods!

I'd end up with a bald, eyeless, nekkid, weaponless warden.

But....too many people are a little too attached to the character they have headcannoned to make having an appearance of a Warden or Hawke be anything but an unmitigated failure.

I doubt we will see them ingame, because the people who would care, the DA fans, would complain about it anyway (because portraying a PC as a NPC is tricky). So the safest and easiest option is to have them do stuff off camera that the inquisitor can hear about, but the inquisitor never meet them.

My personal preference would be for Hawke and the Warden to appear ingame, i don´t mind bioware taking over my past PCs because the dialogue was all writen by them so it was never really a character made by me, i just guided it along the paths bioware already had created.

Even if it were possible to do such an appearance in a manner that didn't destroy player characterization, which I'm less than sure there is, I doubt it'd be worth the no doubt titanic effort required to make it worthwhile.

Pretty much the only NPC cameo of my Warden I could accept is seeing her killing Hawke and Merrill, tbh.

And then leaving without opening her mouth once.

No they already said that they will ingore most things to create their npc not my character (warden) if they bring the warden it will end worse than in awakening despite that my warden said that don't care about wardens and chose to travel and still come back to wardens and still i had possibility to say that it is only temporary and well my character kneel before alistair what was annoying and forced even if character was played otherwise.

If warden will appear in dai it simply be random character with random personality and just destroy character we created for pointless cameo.

I think at the most it would be cool to see them in the epilogue. Perhaps there is a slide of your Warden walking through Denerim or such.

I don't really want either Hawke or the Warden to be involved heavily in the central plot.

I'm not interested in seeing them again... not really, anyway. Hawke, maybe, 'cause they have a voice and a set personality and cannot be killed. But definitely not the Warden, who has no personality that the game recognizes, who can die, etc.

I guess I'm just used to ye olde "hero rides off into the sunset, ne'er to be heard from again" trope. Codex entries and companion cameos are fine. Our old protagonists disappearing has never bothered me. Bring on the Inquisitor.
