Yeah, and 24 years ago 90% of the world, including economic and history experts were convinced that the Red Menace could last another century. It's easy to say the Soviet Union would have collapsed anyway when you look back on it in hindsight.

Also while the Soviet Union might have been doomed to fail, there was no nationwide famine in the 80s like you imply. If anything, the only thing you've accomplished with this post is to give a perfect example of what happens when someone believes everything they're told by the victors (who write history). Just like the Qunari.

I was oversimplifying on purpose. There are a lot of reasons the Soviet Union failed, but ultimately what it boiled down to was they spent all their money.

That's how it is with us and the Qun. For some reason, our characters lose their brains whenever a Qunbot starts spewing nonsense... It should be finally corrected in DA:I.

You know what I find interesting is that prior to this post, there weren't any "outraged" qun fans in this thread. Pretty much everyone was in favor of letting fans who hate the qun express that opinion.

I myself find the qun to be no better or worse than any of the other societies in Thedas; this world would be a terrible place to live. But everyone playing the game should have the option for their characters to express the desired opinion.

If/when I play the game I want to see as much as I can in my first playthrough, have access to as much as I can and experience as much as I can.
If the OP wants to limit himself , then so be it.

The Qunari intend to conquer. They will force the Qun on everyone, and anyone who resists will be slain or qameked.  They are not nearly the enlightened beings you make them out to be.

That sentence can just as easily be used to describe Tevinter. Take out the mind rapist part, and you've got Andrastian society as a whole. 

Really, it describes them better, because if there is one thing the qunari are not, it's genocidal. They may well want to destroy the cultural identity of the people they conquer, but they don't want to wipe out any people as a whole. That would be too wasteful for them.
