- friends I played with back when in the demo times
- my first bronze/silver/gold solo
- first time scoring over 100k
- first time clutching a platinum wave 10

To be honest, after getting into MEMP I sold all my CoD games, all my BF games, and most of my other games. I still have the entire Assassin's Creed series and a couple NFS games, but I hardly ever play them. I just play Mass Effect. Mostly I play the campaign because there's so much replay value...but on occasion I get back on the multiplayer.

As the place where I met some amazing people...oh wait that technically the BSN.

It's the place where I went down on the awesome people I met on the BSN? Yeah let's go with that.

AHF and later ME3 chatroom. So the people I play with. Noe it seems that we'll continue into other games and that makes me very happy.

As one of the most boring and mindless multiplayer ever I guess. Never understood why so many people enjoyed killing the always same waves of stupid enemies without any progression or reward worth mentioning...

Best online multiplayer experience I've ever had, despite all of the bugs.

I agree with that ^ slight change. Nothing will ever beat Goldeneye64 with my mates.

As a great addition to an already great series, probably the best online MP I've ever played.
First time I clutched a silver wave 10.
First time I clutched a gold wave 10.
The excitement of seeing what's in that next PSP.
Getting my first UR to X.
Flying around the map with my Asari Vanguard
The first (and only) time I got sync'd by a scion (that has to happen to everyone once, I think).
Headshotting all the things with my FQI (and we can't forget the jiggly quarian bumbum).
I could go on for ages. I love this game so much.

Serious note:

Second best online MP I've played - the best was Jedi Academy, Moviebattles II mod (apart from the often unfriendly community).

Surprising success given initial doubt about MP in mass effect - would certainly play a future mass effect MP title.

Certain races nailed perfectly - krogan melee is a stroke of genius with the sound effects/voice over.

A lot more fun than I thought it would be. And I became a lot better player than I ever thought I'd be. (Still very mediocre bsn standard wise but much better than after my 2nd match where a guy messaged me with this simple but elegant statement. "U R Terribad"

So to sum up everyone's answers basically one of the buggiest games ever but with so much more heart and a far better community than any other multiplayer

The vanilla MP was boring - usually only ran CTF maps, although it could be fun at times.

I spent many hours on the JA+ mod, which was quite fun for duelling although more like an interactive chat room at times.

But the Moviebattles II mod was absolutely amazing - I think I picked it up with b17, and played it for years.
It had everything - classes and point system, themed maps based on the films (DotF, cloud city, etc...), great objectives (FAR better than ME3mp objectives) based on teams - defence and offence, great balance of gameplay between jedi/sith and "normal" characters with guns - required a decent amount of skill to do well, although more twitch reflexes and sometimes spraying/praying.
The community was a mix - some very friendly and a lot very impatient with newbies, often unpleasant.

I think the team that made that were making a standalone project last I saw, although I've not checked up on it for a long time.

Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer
Brought me to the Banshee's lair

Her hand pierces my spine
Unless I find an incline

Locust such victory sweet
Mows down all the elite

Asari bring biotic blasts
Awakened Collector double casts

Krogan Warlord launching foes
Skyward bound they point their toes

Glitches, bugs, BSN thugs
Reviving means praetorian hugs

Late night grinding for that banner
Why oh why it didn't matter

Troll store takes my volus payday
"Turret down! Mayday mayday!!"

BSN kooks, chaosers, icy bones, egojohns and dummies
Solo elitests, just the funnies

Still a delight every night
Me and my Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer

My first online multiplayer game so I have little to compare it to, but it is certainly a satisfying experience from start to hopefully no finish (at least until there's a MENext demo).

A fun multiplayer that lacked variety in maps and objectives but passed time while there were very few other interesting games for the PS3 system.
