Wait... There *was* a Jedi Academy MP? I Mean, really? It worked? It never did for me!
I spent many hours on the JA+ mod, which was quite fun for duelling although more like an interactive chat room at times.
But the Moviebattles II mod was absolutely amazing - I think I picked it up with b17, and played it for years.
It had everything - classes and point system, themed maps based on the films (DotF, cloud city, etc...), great objectives (FAR better than ME3mp objectives) based on teams - defence and offence, great balance of gameplay between jedi/sith and "normal" characters with guns - required a decent amount of skill to do well, although more twitch reflexes and sometimes spraying/praying.
The community was a mix - some very friendly and a lot very impatient with newbies, often unpleasant.
I think the team that made that were making a standalone project last I saw, although I've not checked up on it for a long time.
Wow... Sounds pretty amazing! Too bad I didn't know about that at the time... I was also quite younger. Damn, would have had a blast with that, I'm sure!

Certain players made this game awesome experience - boogieman, rusty, spallboy, magniflyer, silentstep, godlovesaTrier being the most frequent partners in crime.

Surprising success given initial doubt about MP in mass effect - would certainly play a future mass effect MP title.
Certain races nailed perfectly - krogan melee is a stroke of genius with the sound effects/voice over.
I remember JA as well, and also played MB2 but MB2 is not my type of modification, because Droideka was unbalanced... Damn last time i played MB2 few yeards ago. You said is not worth to come back? Also too bad, that Master TIM, stop working at KOTF... There will be no more updates for KOTF, since after Disney take over SW...

I agree with that ^ slight change. Nothing will ever beat Goldeneye64 with my mates.
Totally agree with this! While nothing will compare to the days of couch co-op with mates, this experience actually runs a close second. While part of me wonders why I wasted so much time on this ( I feel that way about games in general...
Through this game and BSN, I've become friends with some really cool people. I've never seen a gaming community where the very best were willing to help scrubs like myself become MUCH better players by playing with them and giving helpful advice. Some people I feel have become such good friends to me that I hope to play with them in all sorts of future games, something I thought would never happen playing with randoms on the internet. XD
Even BSN, with it's many flaws, is still one of the most entertaining forums I've seen (sometimes...). There are some really funny people who post here, people who work tirelessly and for free to find stats or new ways to play to help us become better players and even the trolling and flaming tends to be lighthearted and without malice (sometimes...).
So to all you BSNers, whether helpful, funny, epeen obssessed, obscure, always there and even troll BSNers,
YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!!

I don't want to derail this off topic of ME3, but you can find some videos of the gameplay on youtube - it was all team and objective based, with 5 minute rounds. Had "full authentic mode" with select characters based on movie relevance, and "open mode" where you could play anything you like and switch characters every round - dual wielding arc trooper, bounty hunter, droideka, mando, wookie...? No problem. Haha, thermal detonators were great - could annihilate half of the opposing team, or wipe out half of your team in one stroke!Deerber wrote...

Hands down the best online MP experience I've ever had and my benchmark for a good MP game.
Almost tempted to reinstall it, but the visuals are pretty dated now sadly.
If necessary can continue this discussion in PM.
Yeah Dekas were unbalanced, but pulse grenade PLX rockets would annihilate them.DesioPL wrote...

That or one saber swing.
One of my favourite builds was the full PLX, full pulse grenade arc trooper with rank 1 pistol.
EDIT: come to think of it, did you use the same name in game as your username here? I vaguely remember something similar.

Didn't want to derail the thread.

Playing with great people that have stayed on my friends list after moving on to other games
Speed running (before AC)
Playing Super OP builds with randoms for the laughs
Playing really stupid builds for even more laughs.
My first ever gold game as a human engineer where we three manned the reapers on dagger around week 3 of the games release.
HOLD THE LINE! Which needs to be finished soon.
Reading BSN following balance changes.
Helping people through weekend challenges, especially Lodestar.

Even better was the sheer and utter wailing before official changes when there were rumors of changes or if one of the Devs said they were going to balance a weapon and or class.

Variety - different character, different weapon, different opponents = different experience - great !
Playerbase - very enjoyable. I am still amazed how much stuff is out there done by players on game mechanics or general guides & tools designed make their fellow teammates better players or just share some fun stuff to see and do. Be it on this forum, youtube or the web - here´s a big salute to all of you who put time into this
Team synergy - nothing like moving around the map and getting it done as part of what feels like a well-oiled machine. It is of course best in games with friends, but I have experienced it a lot even in dodgy-looking PUGs. Having a healing turret fired at me from across the map when doing a device in a PUG or being justicar-bubbled still brings a smile to my face.
First time playing a Krogan, headbutting stuff and hearing "They´re dead !", that was on my bucket list since meeting Wrex in ME1.
Level 4 consumables. If I never get another one of these I will die a happy man.

Not same nickname like here, since i make this login only for having ME3 registered... Normally i got Deso or DesoPL in other countries sites. Or if nickname is taken by someone.

Yeah, that's actually what I meant (best online experience). My best gaming experiences were also with Golden Eye (N64) with friends. Also, Mario Party and Mario Kart.
Good old days.

I have spent a ridiculous number of hours in MB2, but also quit around two years ago or so.
