Second best online MP I've played - the best was Jedi Academy

Wait... There *was* a Jedi Academy MP? I Mean, really? It worked? It never did for me! :(

The vanilla MP was boring - usually only ran CTF maps, although it could be fun at times.

I spent many hours on the JA+ mod, which was quite fun for duelling although more like an interactive chat room at times.

But the Moviebattles II mod was absolutely amazing - I think I picked it up with b17, and played it for years.
It had everything - classes and point system, themed maps based on the films (DotF, cloud city, etc...), great objectives (FAR better than ME3mp objectives) based on teams - defence and offence, great balance of gameplay between jedi/sith and "normal" characters with guns - required a decent amount of skill to do well, although more twitch reflexes and sometimes spraying/praying.
The community was a mix - some very friendly and a lot very impatient with newbies, often unpleasant.

I think the team that made that were making a standalone project last I saw, although I've not checked up on it for a long time.

Wow... Sounds pretty amazing! Too bad I didn't know about that at the time... I was also quite younger. Damn, would have had a blast with that, I'm sure! :o

Oh how much fun time was spent on Jedi Academy and JKII multiplayer!  Force pushing fools off platforms never got old.  :)

ME3 MP would be right up there if I had a commemorative Volus tshirt to wear in public.

Hundreds of good moment shared with friends and a lot of pugs :).
And too much time devoted to shooting the same mooks on the same maps though.

Impressive amounts of adrenaline discovering the live game (no pause button). Well, it s still a rich game for me, still a lot to learn now that I read BSN :).

It has become one of the best gaming experiences of my life. Odd... because its just a hord-mode game. I just find the game play engaging.

1. The people and friends I've met. (Quite a few I hope to see in ME4 and beyond)
2. My slow, yet apparent and obvious progress. (From barely contributing to soloing and carrying gold games)
3. Playing as alien races. (And my obsession with unlocking the Asari Adept and Krogan Soldier)
4. The store... (expletive)

And grinding.. So much grinding..
And the BSN.. The game would be nothing without this forum.

Like Cowboy Bob Orton's cast. An awesome gimmick that really knocked things out of the park yet had an injury that never quite got properly patched. I'll remember it very fondly for carrying a disappiintment of a game to greatness and the community it made. MEMP has lots of potential if they add to it and improve upon things that weren't so popular.

Progressing from wondering whether I'd ever be able to finish Bronze wave 11, to soloing gold, albeit rather slower than I should have, due to staying in my bronze comfort zone for far too long. Hence still not having maxed my manifest after 950+ hours.

All the things you've mentioned. Especially the friends I've played ME3MP with (I MISS YOU!) and who provided me such great moments of pain, joy and laughter. And last but definitely not least, also the great vids you've made. I was watching them on my mobile device when I went to bed (to get up again and do just one more game). *Gosh, I really was (am?) addicted to that game*.

With good memories. The wonderful friends I've made and many hours played. All the laughter and frustration. It's been a great experience. The first Multiplayer I ever played.

As the game that brought out the funniest and most obscene language from my girlfriend in the many games we played together. Any game that can do that is worth remembering.

ME3MP - Quite fun.
Moment I'll never forget? Being the only player who didn't freeze in a Goddess/Collector match while I still thought the Juggernaut was a melee character. That match destroyed Darth Vader imitations. Host didn't disconnect for 20 minutes.
First Gold Solo attempt - stomped by a marauder with 1 second to extraction. FFUUU

The friends I met playing and the disappointment after opening 98/100 store packs before maxing my manifest the rng sucked. 5 hours of platinum for a ton of level 4 ammo baby.

nope sorry none of you were too memorable.  If I let BSN shenanigans and stupidity influence my actual gaming I would have killed myself 2 weeks after getting the game.

I'll never forget the when a centurion was killed simultaneously  with a paladin shield slap and my Venom shotgun. Physics happen and he was smashed like 50 ft up in an arc and followed by an explosion.
The best part was we both watched the centurions flight path then looked back at each other.

Oh, and I forgot one: the first time I carried the whole team on gold vs. geth. It was Wave 6 and 4 x devices objective, everyone had died. I kept my cool, controlled the synthetic crowds, and got the job done - with like 2-3 seconds left! I felt awesome and still remember that moment. Whee!

(Yah, I know, I was a scrub back then as I am still today - but that day on that wave 6 I was the mightiest of the scrubs!)

I have to say I found most of the people I played with to be nice. Yeah, some weren't very good (but that could be due to several factors outside their control), but I only remember 1 person in 1100+ games I played going on mic and being rude.

As for game play, there were a few weeks that were sweet when I felt that I had a variety of weapons and characters that I could play, ones I was still trying to get, and seeing the progress I made since I started playing. Good times.

Also, all the glitches, rng, terrible/lazy players and repetitive play.

As the best and first MP game I've ever played.

I haven't played it in a very long time but I don't think I'm done with it just yet.
