Most of the time (imo) the second game is the best in a trilogy and the third game is meh, still probably going to buy HL3 however because valve has never made a trilogy before and it could contradict what I said

I'm going to go with Recon on this one. Until it's anything besides a rumor/trademark addition/etc., Gaben will continue to haunt your dreams. In otherwords, this. I'm definitely up to finish the game trilogy I last touched roughly a decade ago.
