Fiona Shepard fell deeply in love with her blue alien ship mate during the hunt for Saren and can't wait to be reunited with her again. So there is no way she is going to show the least little interest in her busy-body yoeman. Unfortunately, an oracle informed Fiona that this would mean all her fish would eventually disappear, never to be seen again. Even worse, were she to activate the memory shard hidden in the shuttle bay and relive the events of the war against the Reapers she would miss out on a significant boost to her powers because one of those fish is really super-duper special. Despite knowing just how bleak the future fate of her fish is, however, Fiona will hold firm and stay true to her one and only love. Nevertheless, Fiona is angry that her stupid yoeman can't just give her back the fish without having to pretend she is romantically interested in her.

It's just dinner. Liara will understand. Also, there's a way to do it without flirting at all. I think if you pick "I'd catch you" instead of "I'd embrace you" you can still ask Kelly if she finds aliens attractive, etc, and have the dinner. Also Fiona could spare herself and the fish by retiring after her current mission.

I don't think you have to romance Kelly, you can get your fish back by just being friends with her.

If it really bothers you that much, just use gibbed to give yourself back all your fish. Oh wait, you play 360 don't you? In any event, having a friendly dinner with Kelly is hardly a romance.

Are you sure? I picked the "i'd catch you option" but since then the conversations have proceded nowhere close to where they were when I picked the "i'd embrace you" option. For instance, I haven't gotten the "informal is fine" option. I'll keep talking to her and see. But I don't want to psuedo-persue a romance. It would break character too much.

its ts easy enough to use gibbed on the 360.  There are a couple guides on BSN.

Also, if there had been anything unseemly about the dinner, Liara would know. After all, she thought there was something between my Shepard and Kaidan even though she didn't say a SINGLE WORD to him after Eden Prime.

You dont have to romance her, if you pick the middle option instead of the top right during her initial conversation about well placed trust it becomes a friendship rather then a potential romance.

SImply do the "I'd catch you" option.

At some point (I think after the Collector ship) she'll talk about how worried she was for you. You can invite her for dinner (which stays on the friendship path) That's all there is to it.

In ME3 Kelly will give you a friendly hug and that's as far as it goes. You still get your fish

Maybe Fiona should take a breath, have a think and realise that people who have never been in her cabin and thus never seen the fish might not even realise there are fish up there.

Maybe Fiona should be asking Liara where her fish are.

This seems like a good idea. You'ld figure as big as the SB's ship is there must be some place on there you could store some fish. Maybe Feron could take care of them as part of ptsd therapy.

The only problem I think is if you don't want to romance anyone. Kelly doesn't count as a romance unless you have another one in any of he games.
She's just a really good friend/friend with benefits otherwise.

I don't know how, but in none of my ME2 playthroughs did I ever get the option of inviting her up. I flirted with her, did all the dialogue and could still never invite her.

Alas, she had a rather violent death every time.

You can't be in any romances.

Oh, so that's why. I always lock in romances very early.

Saving her life has nothing to do with the romance. You should go through the Omega-4 relay very soon after the Reaper IFF is installed (I think you get to do one or maybe two quests before your crewmembers start dying).

I'm not talking about the Collector Base(you can't do any missions btw). It's simply that if you don't invite her up, you don't get the chance to make her change identity in ME3.

Oh OK, I didn't know that.

I always do Legion's loyalty mission after the kidnapping and Kelly survives the Collector Base.
