I am about to go mano-a-mano with a Geth Prime (Tali's loyalty mission) as a Sentinel and it occured to me that having the tech armor detonate and then putting it back up would reset the cool down on my squad mates. So couldn't you just intentionally expose yourself to enemy fire with the intent of exploding the tech armor just so your squadies could spam their powers? I guess he big limitation would be the cool down needed to reset the tech armor. But with tech cool down and guardian evolution that is only 6 seconds. So maybe have Tali deploy a drone, have the tech armor detonate, then have her use her hacking? That would be one way to get around her 24 second cool down.
Playing games with tech armor?

Yes... this is why Assault Sentinel is one of the best characters in ME2.

Yep, the power reset is great. There was a thread a couple of years ago (more or less) that had some decent videos of that. You might look at those if you're interested.

I totally fail to capitalize on that when I play a Sentinel. But Assault Sentinel was too easy even without it.

Armor doesn't have to break for this. If armor is up, and you just recast it, it resets squad cool downs...
