I was wondering if anyone is having the same issue I've been having. I beat ME2 on insanity with no real issues on PC, but I've been recently been playing on the 360 and I don't know if it's only me but I will be switching my weapons out and for some reason Shepard likes to jump out from cover and get mowed down. Does anyone have this issue also? It seems to be randomly but mostly when I switch weapons, just randomnly jumping from cover and screwing me over because I didn't wanna just jump up and get killed. I don't know if it's my controller, it did have a beer spill on it about a year ago but it didn't give me a ton of issues until now.

Does your controller have a tendency to have one of the joysticks center improperly? I had two controllers, one that defaulted to backwards movement, popping me out of cover, another that defaulted to moving to the left, making it very hard to aim. It may be that during weapon selection you are not letting the joy stick center before releasing the weapon selection wheel.

I ended up solving my problems by getting a new controller.

That's what I figured, because if I leave it alone the joystick will move on my games but very slightly, I guess it just takes that small movement to jump out of cover. I'll be trying with a new controller, I just didn't feel like forking out 60 dollars.

yeah, this is common on console buddy. I"ve got ME2 for PS3 and 360 and when switching to any weapon with the wheel and not the x button, sometimes, not all the time, but sometimes Shepard will get out of cover.

This was especially problamatic when I played Horzion on insanity (as this is really one of the toughest segements of the game). I died A LOT. It took me about an hour or so to beat that mission.

The fix is that, I don't know what class your using, but for example if your a VG have you shotty as primary and then pre select say your heavy pistol/ or locust smg, for ranged targets. Once you decide to either roll mattock or Viper guard after collector ship, have that has your secondary. Then all you need to using is holding x button.

It is not your controller, it's the game.

Again, I don't know what class your using. But it's the game.

ME2 on insanity is just a beast. There is no, "I win button" or make insanity easy mode like ME3's, it's just tough.

good luck.

I gave up trying to get the insanity achievement on my 360. Shepard won't stay in cover. Characters in Ghost Recon will stay in cover, Sam Fisher will stay in cover, but not Commander Shepard. I tried 3 controllers. I talked to friends. It's the game. It was the worst on the Collector Ship. After f***ing with the goddamn platform battle for three f***ing hours with 3 Medi-gel packs because TIM was too f****** cheap to install a Medi-gel dispenser in Med-bay, I put the game on hardcore to get through the section, only to find out that Jacob decided that because my femShep wasn't accepting his moves and was interested in the lizard guy he broke my Cain so it wouldn't fire at the Praetorian, nor would it ever fire again. Guess who went through the tube.

How do you know it was Jacob that broke your Cain? Are you assuming that because he takes care of the armory?
