Romancing a demon would likely have the same outcome of romancing Morinth in Mass Effect 2.

Assuming the demon is actually romantically interested in you, what makes you think it won't betray you later on?
I actually quite like the idea of it betraying me.

That being said, eh, why not? To the befriend thing, at least.
We've gotten to befriend a spirit in awakening. If they want to continue with the "the difference between spirits and demons is what classification mortals put on them" line that DA2 suggested, this would be the logical conclusion.

This isn't a joke thread, this guy is really serious...>.>
On the topic, no. You DO realize that demons are the physical manifestation of darker human emotions, right OP? They aren't "misunderstood."
"Rage," "Hunger," "Pride," and "Desire" are literally what they are. Becoming friends doesn't make any sense at all.

If a spirit is able to fall, a demon should be able to rise.EntropicAngel wrote...

I don't see how, if that is literally what a demon is. I don't see how it can even change states (why don't you, a human, try to become a...weretiger)--and if it does, it's no longer a demon.
Dragon Age's definitions of supernatural creatues needs further clarification in the games.

Maybe we can find a clarification in the game. Regardless, seeing a demon change it's nature and become a spirit again would be pretty awesome, even if it had nothing to do with us.
Imagine a reformed rage demon helping old laddies cross the street and putting on a consert to save the local orphanage from greedy land owners, before burning the lords face off. Heresy worth dying for I say.
