Tal-Vashoth.
I'm horrible at the whole "be in your proper place" thing.

Probably somewhere in the priesthood, as in the scientific portion. Not very athletic or coordinated so the Ben-Hassrath, while cool, is out of the question.

I would be a stand-up philosopher.
And make no money. Or be executed.

No way I would let some religion/philosophy crap dictate my fate.

I'd likely be Ben-Hassrath in a re-education camp.

If I were born into the Qun, the first thing I would like to do is immediately leave the Qun.

You wont be in The Qun and hopefully will never be able to join it unless the game is solely based around it

While part of me doesn't mind having my fate decided already (Taking a crap ton of stress off my mind) the other does agree that a predetermined life doesn't sound good to that half so I don't know l.

Hahaha, that's what I was thinking. One does not simply choose a place in the Qun, it is chosen for you.

Yeah, I feel like people romantisize the Qun a bit too much, it's not really a great system IMO. People like being told what to do I guess.

And I think people who don't romanticise the Qun demonise it a bit too much.
I think it's far from perfect, but for me, it's the best Thedas has. I've weighed the pros and cons, for me, the pros win out. Not that I don't understand why someone might think the cons outweigh the pros.

Just because I think the Qun sucks doesn't mean I'm not critical of the way the rest of the world is run, people can have more than one thought process about one thing. I would definitely argue that it is NOT the best Thedas has however, not by a long shot. Any society that demands unquestioning obedience "or else" is not the best for anyone.

I'd probably be stuck as clerk,
Then I'd leave the Qun

For you and I'm sure many other people, yes. It's not the best. I said twice in my post, that it was my opinion and that I understand why someone would disagree with me. It's just a combination of my upbringing and my political beliefs.
