Why can't I quit you... [Mass Effect, that is]

I stopped playing any ME single player after the atrocious thing someone called an ending to the series. Now, I still had in mind playing through the parts of the series I liked. At least ME1 over. But I never have. There just became better things to do, well, really like anything, since the series was corrupted by a job poorly done. I pretty much gave up on a replay of DAO too, though I love it.
I still think I would, maybe play, DAO, or ME1 and 2 again. But every time I turn around, there's really a better use of my time. Haven't downloaded anything from BioWare since the EC disaster, either. Aside from not being interested in rewarding bad behavior, even if I had the new DLC, new content doesn't fix the problem.
Now, ME Multiplayer mode, I have burned tracks on my disk playing that. Probably because it costs me nothing...or I should say, it came with the cost of the game. And its fun. Hell, its more fun solo than replaying the series and I hate solo in ME3 MP. Multiplayer shows clearly who did the damage to the series, and I hope, one day, some worthwhile company actually seized control of the MEU property and fixes the series.
But I'm not holding my breath, and I'm not fool enough to flush money down the toilet. So, if it never happens, all I can say is time and cash are better spent on many many other things.
MEU is fun, though. No loss of entertainment from the galaxy that was created, thanks to the original designers of the game. They knew what was going on...then if not now.

Alright, I'm going to have to lower this to kindergarten levels. I'm going to plainly demonstrate your problem by altering the following scene from the Matrix:Manc4life7 wrote...
Ah, got it. You are one of those trolls that throws out illogical arguments while thinking he/she is smarter than everyone in the room. Don't let me stand in your way.
Bait boy: Do not try and spot the troll. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth.
Manc4life7: What truth?
Bait boy: There is no troll.

But seriously, you are totally right, what with your witty pop-culture references and deep, thought-provoking critiques of all things gaming. You are just too smart for me. I won't derail the thread any further in my futile attempts to understand your brilliant knowledge bombs. Good day to you, sir.

Niko Bellic and V's protagonists are nothing like that - they're all self-serving, purely evil assholes with no redeemable features whatsoever. It's as if Rockstar thought the protagonists behaviour and personalities should fit the player tradition of going on random vehicular rampages through the city.
Yeah, I really can't argue with that. I think Franklin was redeemable though, he hadn't really done anything too bad in his life, he just kinda goes with the heists, he doesn't want to hurt anyone, he just wants to move up (but then again he does have no problem killing innocent men in Lester's assassination missions). I feel like Trevor is a misunderstood sociopath, his problems obviously stem from his childhood and the way he was treated, especially by his parents but he genuinely cared about Michael as one of his closest friends.
Michael on the other hand I think is a complete **** who really doesn't have any redeemable qualities, I guess he kinda cares about his family but the dynamic of his whole family is really ****ed up. Not even ****ed up in a rockstar funny kind of way either. God, I wanted to burn his family alive, especially his fat little son.

I'm glad I'm not the only one.
I purchased GTA V on release. I felt that I finally had a game to play that's awesome and not Mass Effect. One week has passed and now GTA V is on the shelf and Mass Effect 1 is back in the tray for another trilogy run.
It seems that if I spend to much time away from Mass Effect I'll go cold turkey.
GTA V is a ridiculously awesome game though.
This is what EXACTLY happened to me.
I'm about 40% done with GTA, but i'm playing Mass Effect right now.
I try to play the first one at least once a year, since it's my favorite. But, I think what sprung it on this time was the replica model of the SR-1 Normandy my girlfriend got me for my birthday.
I set that bad boy on my desk, and the other day I just got to thinking about ME1. I kept hearing this voice. A voice that sounded like Christopher Walken. And it said "I've got a fever, and the only perscription, is more Mass Effect!"

Trying to use how much you don't care about something as a weapon or insult is not only very childish, but incredibly obvious.spirosz wrote...

What are you babbling about David? I do care about the series, always have. I answered the question - I haven't felt the need to replay the trilogy in months, nor do I have the time. A lot of incredible games have came out and they peak my interest more than ME has.
Problem?
Also, I wouldn't of wrote any guitar tributes to a character if I didn't care about the series, nor post.
The one that is obvious is you my friend.

Yeah, I don't consider myself a very "skilled" gamer, and I agree.
"Difficulty" isn't my reason for playing, though.

David... you do the exact same thing in almost every post you make, so don't give me the "Incredibly obvious" bull**** you like to swing around, especially with your use of expressions with your posts in this incredible sense of feeling superior or stating your opinions as so called "facts" and how your mindset is the right one or what Bioware wants.
