Alrighty.... polished off the Collectors..... yippeee!!!!!:) Now I am presented with two options -

1 - Continue game, complete unfinished missions/assignments, start a relationship (hey, maybe me and Tali can tango?)

2 - Start new game at current level with current weapons, etc.

If I choose #2, will I still get to tango with Tali?

If I choose #1, will I get to start a new game with all of the perks?

Thanks -

You do not get your current weapons. You start with the starting weapons. The only thing that really carries over is your current level. I don't even know that your current credits carry over. I don't think so. And you have to restart from the beginning, so it would take a long time to romance Tali, vs you can start a romance with Tali now if you continue. (What happened to the Blue Goddess? I thought she was your main squeeze. Although I only romance Liara when I am doing a femshep. My msheps have romanced Ash, Tali, Miranda and even Jack.)

Do you have Arrival? Now would be a good time to do it. You will need to run a mission or two to romance Tali. Also, if you romance Tali, be sure to speak to Mordin before talking to Tali the second time. First time you talk with her she will mention linking suits. Then you run a mission. Next time you talk to her it will lock in the romance. So talk to Mordin just before talking to her the second time.

I would press on to ME3 after that.

Added: You can import your ME2 character at any time. So you can run more missions and then restart. You don't have to restart now. The prompt is wrong.

Well, my question has now become moot. I was setting the PS3 controller down and inadvertently selected option #1. So, my new question is - how do I restart the game with my current stats?

Just keep playing until you are done. Make a save. Then go to the main menu and select "new game" and chose "import ME2 character."

The bonus morality points from your first import (from ME) disappear but you do have the guns that you picked up your 1st ME 2 run (you don't have to pick them up again), but you do have to wait until you're on the Normandy to select them.

NOTE: the Locust SMG doesn't carry over - you'll have to do Kasumi's loyalty mission again.

I noticed today after having gone through a couple of missions, I am not advancing.  My current level is 30 and there is no "to next level" blurb. I did receive 1250 points after completing each mission, but it does not appear to be applying to anything. Am I wasting my time on this second go thru?

However, I do want to do the wild thing with Liara or Tali or both.....

Level 30 is level cap for ME2.

I thought you did Lair of the Shadow Broker. If so, didn't you talk to Liara afterwards? You have the option of inviting her up to the ship. Now here is where it may get tricky. From my understanding you need to take every paragon interrupt with her available. That means three interrupts after killing Vasir. The third interrupt allows you to ask about your relationship. Then, when the fight with the SB is done and you hug her (assuming you do) you get another interrupt to kiss her. If you do all those interrupts and then talk to her you have the opportunity to continue the relationship and talk about having lots of blue babies.

For Tali, do her loyalty mission, go talk to her, do another mission, talk to her again and she will talk about linking suits. Do another mission. Now if this is before the suicide mission go talk to her and then go talk to Mordin. When the suicide mission starts you get a "wild thing" scene. If it is after the suicide mission then talk to Mordin first, then talk to Tali and the "wild thing" scene plays right away. If Tali is your only on-board romance (you can do multiple) I recommend setting up the romance before the suicide mission. It plays out more naturally.

You might as well always pick to continue the game since you can always import a save after that, or even the save that the game makes when you beat the Suicide Mission.

You can continue to romance any of the LI's as long as you didn't do anything in the main game to turn them off completely. The mechanics are exactly the same as before the SM. You will probably need a mission to advance dialogue. The easiest way is if you have the Cerberus Network DLC w/ Normandy Crash Site. You can always go back to Alchera, drop off the monument again, then return to Normandy and it counts as a mission complete.

A word of warning: I really would pick either Tali or Liara. Don't do both. This will make life easier in ME3. Neither of them appreciate you cheating on them.

No, I did not finish the Lair of the Shadow Boxer mission/assignment.  I have concluded that any mission/assignment that involves driving/flying that dang Hammerhead, I am just not going to do.  From what I have be able to gather, those missions/assignments are -

Lair of the Shadow Broker
Project Firewalker: Rosalie Lost
Overlord

Gimme back my Mako!!!!!!!!:D

If it is capped at level 30, is there a reason to replay it over again?  Now, I am starting to get bored......

You really, really, need to play LotSB. Really. Don't you want to be reunited with your Blue Goddess and get all kissy-face?

Also, LotSB will make ME3 make more sense.

Another thing to keep in mind if you are getting bored: You don't have to do all the loyalty missions to get everyone out alive. The two most non-essential loyalty missions are Jack's and Jacob's. As long as you don't use them as specialists or leaders and don't take them with you for the final boss fight they will survive and it will have no effect on ME3. I generally skip those two missions.

Also, ME has a large amount of replayability due to the different choices you can make. So don't make all the same choices. See what changes.

Hmmmm, why do I sense you are telling me something, but not telling me something?

You know that I just adore my Blue Goddess - Liara, but my hatred for the Hammerhead has got me torn.  However. I can get with Tali and not have to worry about flying around in that thing.....

What to do? What to do?

I don't understand. First, LotSB does not have the hammerhead. It has that skycar you were having problems with. But as I said, that is only one short section, has lots of check points, and eventually you get beyond it. I know, its frustrating, but bear with it.

Second, if you can drive the Mako, the hammer head should be a snap. It goes where you tell it. Stops when you tell it. Turns when you tell it. The only thing is it has almost no armor, so you have to stay maneuverable rather than ride out the fire like in the Mako. Considering how maneuverable the hammerhead is, though, that is not a problem. Heck, the first firewalker mission doesn't even involve anyone shooting at you. It is just pure tutorial on how to use the thing. In fact, 3 out of the 5 firewalker missions have no one shooting at you. They are simply about driving around and picking stuff up.

By my count, you only need to shoot with the Hammerhead on three missions:
1) Overlord DLC when you need to shoot the shield pylons at Prometheus station.

You only need to shoot mechs and turrets at the planet to get the Cerberus data packets ONLY ONCE to get the achievement. Once you have the achievement, you can ignore getting the data packets.

For Vulcan station, you can ignore all turrets as the minerals they guard are not worth the effort. You can get many more minerals by planet scanning.

2) The Firewalker: Artifact Collection mission. You pretty much have to kill every Geth on this mission to complete it since most of them guard the artifacts. BUT the mission is completely optional and you can ignore this mission entirely.

3) The Firewalker: Prothean Dig Site mission (I think that is what it is called; I am writing this from memory). You need to shoot the shield pylons to drop the shield. Turrets will shoot at you, BUT you can ignore the turrets completely. Their missiles are slow and straight, and you can dodge or jump over them with ease. Just drive around and shoot the shield pylons and move on.

@Sasnak Kid. I am surprised at how much trouble you are having with the driving sections in this game. As cap and gown says, it is mostly driving and rarely is anything shooting at you. And the skycar driving segment in LotSB is quick, and has lots of checkpoints so it should not be that big of a problem. Just hold the boost down as it is unlimited and get moving.

I do not recall anyone ever complaining about how the driving handles in ME2, but I know a lot of players complained about the Mako in ME1.

I reckon none of you have ever ridden with me in a plane??????:?  Trust me.... you do not want to.  Excuses perhaps, but it appears that the control dynamics are designed for right-handed people.  And I am not even going to begin to mention the environment (buildings).  I am going to try and stick it out, though because I really want my Liara:wub: (yeah, that's right folks, I have claimed her as my own.... so back off!!!!!! , otherwise I'll send an Asari Death Squad after you:P).

Btw, thanks for clearing up the vehicle types for me Cap and Gown... however, one flying contraption is the same as the other....<_<... I want my Mako back!!!!!!

Being left handed may be a problem. There should be a southpaw controller set up. Check under the options>controller menu. There is an xbox controller menu, should be one for the PS3 as well.

100+ years old are all yours...

Seriously, ME2 is not too bad. I'm not overly happy with it either but it does get less tedious with some practice. If it is any consolation, ME3 ditched these annoying vehicle rides.

Edit: just in case you haven't seen the Ctrl-Alt-Del comic - http://www.cad-comic.com/cad/20071119

Whoops!!!!! was that a spolier alert??????:bandit:  With her help, we defeated the Shadow broker.  Tears in her blue eyes whilst we hug.  Kasumi left the room, I just knew that we were about to get it on.  I had already taken my boots off.  What am I going to do now?  Or, more aptly.  Who am I going to do now?  Kelly and I have been gvetting along pretty good.  And I think that Tali has a thing for me.  Hmmmm....  With Liara and Theron on that ship together, they might get together.  I can't wait until ME3.  Somebody's gots to give me a little love.
