I've been trying to perfect my PC for a new PT, and there's a strange thing happening with my PC file. When I start a new PT in DAO and choose to import from CC, the character displays properly.

But when I want to modify it in the CC itself, even though most of the ticks are properly placed, they character looks wrong. Sometimes, some ticks are even misplaced.

Is there something obvious I should check? I do have hair mods installed.

Also, I've noticed that you have a lot more varied voice samples for female experienced elf in the CC than the actual game, is there a way to have all those voice samples in the actual game instead?

Any help much appreciated.

Not sure what the CC issue is with your Character Creation files, but this might help with the voice sets. This is what I use in the game and haven't had any issues with it.

http://dragonage.nex...om/mods/1356//?

I'm not a modding expert, but what you describe sounds like you may have a conflict somewhere. You might try removing mods one by one and eliminate that as the problem at least those mods in override anyway. Even if it doesn't work, at least you will know a) it wasn't a mod and B) if it does affect it, you will know which one of the mods it may be. Override mods will be easier than dazips because zips tend to affect/corrupt the save file and remain glitchy even after removed.

Thanks for answering!

That voice mod looks interesting! I'll take a look. "Desperation is an ugly perfume." certainly grew tiresome after some time. Actually, what I wanted is to see my PC say those lines in the CC. And for some very strange reasons, we have very varied lines in the pre-release CC, but in the actual CC it's always the same 5 or 6 lines, at least for experienced female elf. Maybe that mod will help indeed.

I'll try getting rid of all files in the override folder and see if it changes anything and then, if there's a difference, I'll try narrowing down as you suggested. What I really don't understand is how the pre-release CC creates my PC properly (including the hair mod I use) - but once you've saved the new character and go back and modify it, it's not the same character anymore. But when you import said character in the CC from the main game, it's exactly as I had created it.

Thanks for the suggestion anyway!

I really like the Human Male "Violent" voice set for my male protagonist. Hearing Bann Teagan's voice actor say "Thus I cloak my naked villiany." was positively squee worthy!

Bwhaha, I've never played a Human Male, but I did try those voice samples to see if the same thing was happening on other voices than experienced female elf, and I've got to say some male voices are really nice... I hear you about Teagan's :D
