Rahna? Possibly. Though Brooks wasn't a biotic in the Citadel DLC.Nero Narmeril wrote...

EDIT: To stay on topic, I don't know what the hell is going on with the art style. I'm pretty sure biotics isn't supposed to be a goddamn light show.

1) turian broke Rahna's arm
2) I stood up for her like an idiot, then
3) turian beat the crap out of me, then
4) turian pulled a very nasty military knife and waved it in my face, and THEN
5) I killed him.
Comic skips steps 2, 3, and 4, and rewrites step 5 to be due to step 1 instead of 3 and 4. Way to go, comic.

Brooks didn't recognize Ash if the two of them go together. Ditto with Wrex It's what happens when you do story retcons.
Well, Rahna's kind of a bigger deal in Kaidan's backstory than Brooks played in the others, I think.

IMO, Brooks appears to be of strong Indian descent, with no features I would really consider passable for Turkish.

It doesn't sound like some major/earth shattering retcon. It doesn't really matter. I just don't understand why. It'd make sense if the original sucked, but it was neither here or there.
It's a major thing for Kaidan's back story - in his telling in ME1, his talking about this shows that he's a genuinely good person. What he saw was someone being a jerk and he stood up to them, then things got out of hand. His description paints a picture of how Vyrnnus was an ass, but there was some sense that Kaidan's impression of him in retrospect was he thought what he was doing was tough love, the kind that 'they'd thank him for later.' THIS, however? This goes into outright torture and abuse. That looks more like a POW camp than it does a school for human kids. In this, Vyrnnus is now not a mere jerk teacher, he's an outright bully, even a VILLAIN. He's tormenting Rahna with her inability to have a drink of water that not only does she want, but she probably NEEDS given the heat Vyrnnus says they're in. BAaT may have had to have alien teachers, but it was still supposed to be human run. How in the hell does ANY human justify these conditions for a bunch of kids?
According to Kaidan in ME1, he felt guilty about killing Vyrnnus, that he lost control of his biotics when he did that, and he hadn't meant to kill Vyrnnus, and thinks that what he did was wrong. In this, Vyrnnus is someone who we could easily classify as someone who got what he deserved, end of story, and that Kaidan might be justified in being guilty about having taken a life, the life that he took was one that reasonable could be taken out. It's stripping a morally grey bit of storytelling down to black and white.
Plus there's the damage he does to Rahna. Now, Kaidan is expressly hurting Rahna, and SEVERELY - he cuts her open so deep as to expose bone. The way he speaks about the incident in ME1, she was bruised, but it was because of Vyrnnus's actions and she was more in shock about what Kaidan had done, not in shock because of blood loss because her wrist had been sliced open.
It's just... a simple YouTube search would have shown them that this portrayal and Kaidan's description of BAaT do not match up. It's lazy storytelling, or, worse, retconning Kaidan's past in an attempt to make it more cinematic and make him 'more badass,' missing the entire core of Kaidan's character.
