Why has Morrigans facial structure changed? [And will other returning characters have different faces)?

But again though, Flemeth is a shapeshifter. Who is to say that she cannot change her appearance, age, etc? If she has the power to transform into a dragon, it would not surprise me if she could change her looks as well.JulianWellpit wrote...

I am of the idea that Yavanna was right in that Morrigan has no true concept of what Flemeth wants at this point. I do not think it was ever really the plan to possess Morrigan. Considering all that we have seen Flemeth do, all the magic she is capable, I still cannot conceive of why she needs Morrigan.JulianWellpit wrote...

Both are indeed official concept art pieces.
Then we could safely assume that she might end up as a vessel for Flemeth. I don't think that this will happen no matter what we do ( I don't think that BW is ready to face raged, fan made mobs with torches and pitchforks), but it might still be one of her possible fates.
She is not able to stop herself from ageing with her powers so she needs a new vessel every 50,60 years or so and when she possesses her daughter body she ( the daughter ) connects to a conciousness made out from Flemeth's and all the chosen daughters, Yavana thinking it's a blessing because as long as Flemeth lives, they live inside of her, making Flemeth a Legion like kind of figure ?

I can't imagine Morrigan wearing an Orlesian dress in the original way it was made. She's too much of a free spirit and a fashionista to do that. No, I see her tearing the dress, cutting it, burning it, just to fit her taste.eluvianix wrote...

She looks so pretty. I love her dress.
It looks more suited to her IMO than the Orlesian dress. Although, Leliana was right in that the Orlesian dress does make her look very good.

Very true. Although, I would like to see Leliana reacting to Morrigan in that dress.JusticarFlareon wrote...

Then why the possesions ? Also, Morrigan remembers of times when Flemeth was younger. I don't think that Flemeth is that vane to change her looks to make herself younger. Her body gets older . The only known "cure" for mortality is The Taint ( and even that doesn't apply to every case ).
Also, even if she can make herself look younger, that doesn't mean that that's the true age of her body. If she found the "potion" of immortality, then why posses her daughters ?
EDIT
I'm not saying that she couldn't change her shape, I'm just saying that just because she's a shapesifter it doesn't mean that she's immortal.

Beyond what Morrigan "found", we have no real proof of Flemeth's need for possessions. If she was that desperate for a body, why not try and take Yavana if Morrigan did not work out?

Well, Yavana kinda confirmed it. She could have a "chosen one" policy, reason why Yavana sees it as a gift - only one in a generation gets it. She could also not need her now and might have other plans for Morrigan that prevents her from doing it just yet.
EDIT
I ruled out blood magic. So, if there is any way she would keep herself immortal,it would be through blood magic, not shapeshifting ( or at least a combo between the two ). Now, the possession are indirectly confirmed by Yavana, but we also don't know all the details. So it's hard to say how Flemeth does it.

For the same reasons Anderson looks so different in ME3 from his statute in ME1. Morrigan's DA:O face was largely built using what their character creation tools offered, so the Morrigan most of us know is still very deviated from her concept art. The Morrigan in DA3 will look more standardized to modern graphics and even though it's a slight disservice to fans who stuck around all the way from DA:O up until now, it's still a necessary evil Bioware had to commit to, in order to stay with the times.

Well obviously she has gotten older and the different engine and you've got to factor in the way she has been living, like getting really stressed out because the warden and their son are acting annoying. Also she actually looks pretty nice, I don't get why people are worrying about it.

Touché, but have considered say Morrigan is trying to teach their son a valuable lesson then the warden kicks down the door and says "Hey son do you wanna play outside instead of listen to this boring stuff" so then their son runs out to play but just as the warden walks out, he turns to look at Morrigan then he puts on his best troll face and then he walks outside.
I think that would be annoying.

I'm beginning to think with all this speculation about Morrigan doing bad things to the Warden that in DA:I, if your Warden is alive, Bioware is going to troll us by having Morrigan kill the Warden as a sacrifice or somethingKarsciyin wrote...
Because they went from Eclipse engine to Frostbite engine and directly translating the models is not only impossible but emulating them would make them fall into the Uncanny valley.
Oh wait you looking for Lore reason
um she got older
drank lots of milk for strong bones
stole the Warden's skin
