My project .dds image is stored in my addin folder.

When I uncheck the addin in downloadable content, the image of my add-in become a grey square. It makes sense because if I unload the add-in, I unload the .dds file as well.

Is there a way to keep the .dds showing when the add-in is disabled ?

I presume it'd have to go in the "evil" packages directory instead of addins, so it's always available regardless of whether your addin is enabled or not.

The project dds is in the addins directory for all the DLC. So I'd suggest following Bioware's convention as that's what people expect.

DLC pictures are also include in core base resources. I suspect the .dds file in DLC folders not being used.

It works if the .dds is in the package folder but that makes the add-in no longer installable with daupdater ...

Hm, I'd have thought it would just copy it in there like it does that empty (and sometimes not so empty) ERF to Documents/BioWare/Dragon Age/packages/core/data. I've seen DAUpdater complain if the manifest says it's something other than an addin, though.

Hum yes but no.

I am not asking how to have my own icon for my module. I am asking were to put this icon if I don't want it to disappear when my module is unchecked in game.

The solution is not "Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\AddIns\\[your_addin]\\core\\override". What is said in this article is right but not perfect to me.

On solution is the global "package\\core\\override" folder but daupdater can't install any file in this directory. So I cannot package my dazip and put the .dds icon in this folder.
