I agree with OP, as long as Kaidan is made a bi romance in ME1 as well.
So why is Kaiden bi in ME3 and he wasn't bi in ME1?
Ashley Williams, Miranda and Jack should be a lesbian romance options

Real Life Reason: Just because the writers of the game decided to do it that way... likely influenced because opinions about gay relationships had changed in society from the time when ME1 was first being developed to the time when ME3 was released.
