Also... I'm actually a little surprised this survey is coming out now. I would be of the mind that a lot of these things would have already been decided upon a year before release?
I assumed it was for marketing purposes.

Interesting how it doesn't ask which class you preferred to play in DA2.

I told them anyway, when they asked for additional comments. My favorite class changed - Warrior in DAO, Mage in DA2.Sylvius the Mad wrote...

I didn't like any of them in DA2, so answering that question would have been awkward for me.The Sarendoctrinator wrote...

My first playthrough was with a City Elf Berserker who used a two-handed flaming sword that looked almost as tall as him, and pretty much fought like a one-man army in combat.Scott_Press wrote...
The Sarendoctrinator - Warrior in DAO? O_o
Good point. Maybe they should have included an extra question to find out exactly what people enjoy about these classes because there are so many different ways to play them. A Warden who uses archery to attack from long range and the Champion specialization to give their allies a power bonus wouldn't have much in common with my Berserker.Sylvius the Mad wrote...

That said, I'm not sure even the DAO question necessarily captures what they want. For example, I prefer to play a mage in DAO, not because mages are more fun, but because that's the only way to get 3 mages in my party. If there were already three really great mage companions available, I might have said Rogue, since the Rogue character is the one I'm most often directing during exploration.

I don't want Dark and Gritty realism, I want Light and Fluffy realism. Not sure how I translate that into an answer.
What's "target locking" in this context?
I think it mostly applies to consoles. It is when you target an enemy to attack, so all regular attacks just go to that one enemy, rather than just attacking what your character is facing. I have only played a little bit of the games on consoles, but I thought they already had it.Fast Jimmy wrote...

I was confused on that one as well. There's no skill in the DA games that I could think of that would require the aiming function used by such a feature.
I put "Never" just in case. Kill the unknown gameplay elements with fire!

I like that idea. If I remember right, there was a mention of specializations meaning more in DAI.Vnnk wrote...

I said that i would like the specializations to mean more in the full game for example a bloodmage being able to manipulate a character with low willpower in gameplay or even during conversations.

I assume it's the gameplay feature analogous to "Z-targeting" in Zelda. The cursor stays on one enemy and you can select multiple talents in a row.Fast Jimmy wrote...

Anyone else agree that pausing the game is useless at weaker difficulties, same with the tactical camera. I would use it on nightmare, but on normal, it's just a waste of time.

I completely disagree. Pausing makes the game more fun for me, regardless of difficulty levels.Rorschachinstein wrote...

I talked how I really liked the speed of combat in DAO, and how I disliked that characters didn't respond immediately to commands in DA2 (because they were stuck in uninterruptable animations).Vnnk wrote...

I play on the lower difficulty levels, and I still pause sometimes - more often when I'm playing a mage.Rorschachinstein wrote...
