I liked the cryo ammo evolution myself. I believe it is rank 5. They don't freeze too often, but when they do you can get a nice combo off.

I'm playing the Drone Master build at the moment, so the only powers mapped to my controller are turret, combat and defence drones. As such, I prefer to get all the bonus damage out of the pets I can. If I was to go for a caster engineer I'd probably opt for overload, incinerate and cryo blast. Maybe I'd get more use out of the combo potential of the turret's cryo ammo then, but given the lack of buttons on the controller, I probably wouldn't be using the turret much anyway.

Don't write Sabotage off completely without trying it first. It's provides a massive damage boost if specced for Tech Vulnerability at rank 6. It's also great for briefly taking over Cerberus turrets and causing Geth to stand still or turn on their friends.

It can also be used to hack atlas and take control away from the driver.

The only reason not to take sabotage with an imported level 30 engineer is if you want to gimp yourself to actually make the game difficult.

I should slap myself for forgetting Atlas hacking, since I've been playing a Sabotage-happy Turian Engineer in MP a lot lately.

Totally agree about taking Sabotage, though.

Don't be to hard on youself. I found a whole thread full of people who were rejoicing at having discovered sabotage can hack those pesky turrets! Hilarity ensued  I just thought I would point it out considering my infiltrator can more or less stunlock an atlas with sabotage on insanity.
