Spoilers for the episode ahead!

Just for the record...

Does anyone else think that Faith and Snow White are still alive? This because if you ask the Mirror to show Faith, it says a magic has concealed her. However, what would be the point of magically concealing her location if you want her head to be found? The Mirror can locate dead Fables as evidenced by Faith's father.

Warning, I haven't read the comics and I would rather not be spoiled.

I am half right so far; although I was wrong about Snow White being in on the whole faking her death thing.

Anyway, I'm still undecided whether the murders are connected or not. There's nothing connecting them besides that note that placed both Faith and Lily at the apartment.
The second murders seem pretty straightforward at first. Crane was caught living his fantasies and killed the source of his shame, the prostitute; hence the "Stop Laughing at me" JT heard.

However, what is the point of killing Lily? Her lips were sealed after all. We know none of the prostitutes can talk about their work? Is it possible Crane didn't know about it and killed her for nothing? Doubtful.

Could Bluebeard, who seems to gain the Mayor's job in the next episode, have killed Lily in the same manner as the previous murder and placed the photos there to incriminate Crane? And does that mean he is responsible for the first murder and whishes Crane to go down the witching well in his place?
Possible but why create even more attention if he is guilty of the first murder? Why not just blackmail Crane with the photos?

So, here is what I am thinking. Remember this?

Oh Hai ring.

Lily steals the ring from whoever hired Dum and Dee, goes to the Woodsman's apartment, leaves it there, Faith goes there, picks it up. Meanwhile, Dum and Dee search all of the places Faith frequented and Lily was murdered by said employer who wants the ring back.

There's some holes in this theory, tough.

1-How could Faith have known the Woodsman would hire her?

2-If this is all about the ring, why was it left in Faith's mouth?

3-If I am right and Faith faked her death and left the ring with Bigby for protection, why hasn't the Employer approached Bigby yet? S/he has to know Faith is dead and Bigby would be on the case.

Finally, I have to agree with Reznore57. It seems like the only real choices we have to whether be brutal or not? If we get something wrong, someone will quickly point it out.
There better be a damned good payoff if we avoid unnecessary violence for the whole five episodes.

PS: I hope the fact that the criminal smokes the same type of cigarettes as Bigby doesn't mean they're going for the whole "The killer was Bigby's bestial side all along."
I mean, they are laying pretty heavily on the whole "Is Bigby reformed or not?".

All controversy aside, would you (the person reading this) suggest this game to someone who enjoyed TWD immensely?

Yes, Hanar. I haven't played Ep 2 yet because Elsa hasn't fixed it yet, but yes.

TWD is based on its comic, and TWAU is based on the Fables comic.

Give it a go.

If you are on the fence I suggest waiting till all the episodes are out. I wasn't a huge fan of TWD though and I've only played the first episode, but I think I might end up liking TWAU better.

Yeah, I think I'll wait a bit for them to get these wrinkles ironed out, since the season pass is the best value.

I've not read any of this thread in fear of spoilers, but perhaps someone can help me out. I purchased the season pass on Xbox, but when I go to download the game it says it's charging me £3.99, should I not be getting it free because I paid for the season pass? I've tried marketplace, main menu and from within the game, but all say £3.99. Am I missing something?

We've even resorted to singing songs in the mean time.

Well, I've played Episode 2. First off, it took me a little over two hours to complete at a comfortable pace. I don't know whether this is too short or not; personally, I didn't care. The story's interesting. We get to play more detective and try to piece together the evidence. Admittedly, this is a little too easy so I wouldn't be surprised if somewhere down the line the villain reveals s/he was the one leaving Bigby so many clues for whatever nefarious purpose.

The problem I've started to notice, and I do think it is a problem, is that there's very little interaction to be had, more so in this episode than the previous one it'd seem. The game, if we can call it that, plays more like a visual novel than a traditional point-and-click game. Case in point, in a traditional PaC game you can explore every nook and cranny and take your time doing so. You can examine objects at your leisure and in whatever order you desire. You can even return to places you've visited previously. This is not the case with TWAU where backtracking is not even possible. In some cases (maybe in all and I've just been lucky for the most part), if you don't examine the objects in the right order, you will be locked out of some permanently. This kills exploration because I'm afraid of diverting from the "narrative path" in case I might miss something. A perfect example would be scene at the hotel. There were many rooms that I could've explored but I chose not to in case the game decided to lock me out of the one room I did have to check out.

Another thing. I'm growing tired of the "s/he will remember that" notifications. I no longer care. I don't think they even change anything. Case in point, there's at least one (fairly major) event in Episode 2 that apparently (from what I've read) plays out the same way regardless of what you did in Episode 1. Besides, everyone will always just assume the worst of you regardless how you play, right?

Like I said, it was a good time, no alcohol required (if you spot the reference, kudos to you). I do, however, hope TTG sorts out a schedule for releasing the remaining episodes and sticks to it. Going back to the murder board might not seem a very enticing prospect four months from now.

At least you're getting individual episodes, right? Should've gone for those instead.

@ LPPrince: I don't know why, but I was expecting The Bear and the Maiden Fair. Actually I expected an entire menagerie with songs and a carnival atmosphere, page 10 lacks this. But we still have hope for page 11...

Season Pass saves us the cost of an episode.

Pay for four, get all five.

I highly doubt it. Remember, video games are an interactive narrative, the design needs be challenging to a point. We're not all Poirots. Seeing how the writing is so far, it would surprise and disappoint me if the villain was some sort of 'big bad.'

Dude, this is how it worked with TWD.

As for the lag issues? I'm glad I haven't encountered any.

Do you have an official ETA on when it'll be fixed? The TTG forums have widely varying information.

I actually encountered lag issues during the preview of Episode 3. Terrible lag issues.

That, and it was half price over the holidays.

The series cost a pittance.

Its just so happens its costing a little time now too.

Pretty sure it's always been a console-only issue with Telltale games. I've never had them on PC.

Not sure what it is with Telltale and consoles.

But what's all this about the season pass? What, it was basically useless? Or it doesn't work?

Four months ago, when Season Passes were available, myself along with many 360 users purchased it. 5 episodes down the line for the price of four? Early adoption? Sure!

Four months later, we can't download the episode for free. Its an error, it wants to charge us again for what we've already paid for last year.

If you DON'T have the Season Pass, its fine. If you do have it, at the moment its basically useless.

Its only an error for the season pass holders on 360, such as myself.

Everyone else is golden.
