Just finished Smoke & Mirrors. I quite liked it, although it wasn't perfect and the decisions felt like being more simple "be nice" vs "break stuff/people" than before. It was seriously weird having both ClemenTJ and Leebeard in the episode, but also nice to hear them again. Definitely makes me feel more sympathetic towards Blubeard than I'd have been otherwise.

All in all it was pretty short, and although I wasn't too unhappy with that fact itself it is kind of sad after the ridiculously long wait. Guess we'll never know what exactly caused the delay?!

Also, and this really bugs me, at least for me the loading time and performance issues from Episode 1 were back, and especially the latter were worse than ever before in TWD or TWAU (playing on the PS3). During a certain brawl near the end of the episode the game seemed to have glitched and left out a small part of it (involving a bottle).

Very much looking forward to the next episode, though. Hopefully Telltale won't have problems like with Ep 2 and we'll get it within a reasonable time frame.

Check out the discrepancies between the episode 2 preview (when you just finished episode 1) and the actual episode 2. i am willing to bet on not insignificant rewrites, with at least more than one subplot altered/removed.

Hopefully, this is the last of the delays.

I'm with Dave in believing that Ichabod is not guilty of at least Faith's murder.

Lily's, sure. But given the slight differences between the two murders and the fact that both Bigby and Snow caught on to Ichabod's suspicious behavior when Snow suggested he should work on stopping the black market glamour crafting/selling, I think that yeah, he took advantage of the situation to disguise his own crime.

Which means, if we assume that Lily's murder is unrelated to Faith's, there has been only the one.

Whoever's behind that is still up in the air. And I'm left wondering about the "Will You Be Next?" on King St. catch I made earlier.

I'm in the same boat. I don't even think he killed Lily.

We are only on episode 2, which is far too early to reveal the main villain. I think someone (the Headless Horseman?) is setting up Ichabod to be a patsy. I think Ichabod probably did have a thing for Snow and was paying glamoured prostitutes to pretend to be her, but I don't think he murdered any. It is far too convenient that a photograph of Ichabod with Lily (glamoured as Snow) would be found at the bloody crime scene. I think that was left there intentionally for Bigby to find and the man in the photograph was the killer glamoured as Ichabod.

Consider that Beauty doesn't remember Mr. Smith. She certainly knows what Ichabod looks like and would have recognized him if he were Mr. Smith and was showing up unglamoured. I think someone else came to the hotel and just assumed Ichabod's identity when it was time to pose for that photo.

Also pointing to Ichabod not being the killer IMO is that Toad Jr. heard someone talking when the body was being dumped. That probably means more than one person is involved.

I always go for getting straight to the correct point when investigating the room with Beauty. I wondered what would happen if I chose the other options. Thought it would be one of two things-

A. Not linking evidence. Bad Bigby!
B. Beauty making him look like an *expletive* ****** and making him guess again. rofl

Some of the options were funny. I'm half tempted to go back and choose them to just to see what happens.

What happens if you carry over a save with Grendel's arm ripped off? Does he return armless? Is he more hostile than usual towards Bigby?

I had two saves but couldn't remember which was which, and imported the one where Grendel has all of his appendages.

This is also what I think - the only thing that bothered me was the final scene with Ichabod and the mirror, where he sees Bigby and Beauty with the photo, and is rather... unhappy about it. Is the Ichabod we've been interacting with this whole time not actually Ichabod?

You'd think if he was framed and we were seeing the real Ichabod's reaction, he'd be more shocked than angry.

I believe he's still glamoured up. But if so, where's the real Crane?

I noticed that the title screen for episode 3 changed from being a picture of Brannigan (the mundy cop who interviewed you at the beginning of episode 2) tailing Bigby to Bigby chasing down a car (Crane's car?). I wonder if her role in the story has been drastically reduced/cut? I hope not.

That's true. Still, I hope she continues to investigate Bigby, I think having a mundy getting involved in Fabletown business would make for some interesting possibilities.

Yeah, I guess so, but it makes for good drama. Besides, I'm not sure about the head thing, seeing as both of the victims thus far have been hookers. Doesn't mean she won't die though, she probably will.
