Reminded me of stitching Clem's arm. Telltale likes painful looking QTEs. :S

I thought it was way worse than that and I'm usually not squeamish!

It did look pretty feckin painful. Especially when he started stretching it...

It's funny, Bigby fixes it at an excruciatingly slow pace, but if you wait too long to do the QTE, Dr. Swineheart just reaches over and snaps it back in place in one quick motion. :S

See, I never would've known that had you not posted about it.

Hasn't stopped them before. They're already working on all of them simultaneously.

Apparently there's even a fifth project right now. (Which I'm hoping is TWD Season 3 rather than ANOTHER IP TT picked up, but... )

I really hope it's not another TWD project. The Wolf Among Us really got me into TellTale products, and I'd prefer it if they kept making games I would play.

The problem with The Wolf Among Us, from what I understand (don't read comics), is that it is a prequel. Its also considered to be part of the same continuity as the comics, unlike The Walking Dead, with the story from the games, comics, and TV series all being considered seperate universes. Given that it is both a prequel and part of the comics' continuity, could they even create another game with Bigby as the main character? Is it going to end where the comics pick up?

Even if a Bigby sequel isn't doable though, I'd love to see another game set in Fabletown. They could always craft a story around one of the other characters from the comics, or from an original Fable that isn't in the comics.

@In Exile

The Walking Dead is still their most profitable game. It's what put Telltale on the map in the first place.

You might not like it but it'd be stupid to not keep going while people are still enjoying it.

No, Telltale's TWD and the comic canonically do take place in the same universe.

Not anymore. Originally the games and the comic/book series were supposed to be the same continuity but Kirkman changed his mind.

I believe you're thinking strictly about Lilly. She was supposed to be the same Lilly as the one from Woodbury in the comics, but Kirkman retconned them into two characters. Other than that, the game and comic are still very much the same universe. Game Glenn is comic Glenn, game Hershel is comic Hershel, etc etc.

The comics (at least as far as I've read them now) go in such a different direction that even if they could do another Bibgy game, it would be a totally alien to what we've seen so far in Wolf Among Us. Bibgy's very much a Chessmaster type of character, particularly in his role in Fabletown, so TellTale is already blurring things a bit with how they've characterized him.

They're free to do whatever is in their business interest to do in the end. But I still reserve the right to gripe about a developer I've liked not making products I enjoy.

Finished episode 4. Bit slow but liked it either way. The game has stayed solid for this long and I doubt the last episode will hold back. Can't wait!

I stand corrected. I had thought Kirkman decided to make them different continuities (sort of like the TV series), but it does look like it was only the character of Lilly that he changed his mind about.

So I finsihed episode 4. I enjoyed it but just like episode 4 of the walking dead it felt less like a coherent episode and more like set up for an amazing last one. The choice at the end was pretty badass though.

So are the Fable comics worth buying? I'm thinking on getting them.

As I posted a few pages ago, they are quite heavily praised, by fans and critics alike. If fans of the comic books are to be believed, Fables does everything what TWAU does and better; with more engaging storylines, deeper characterisation, humor and more.

I myself am planning to start reading the comics right after I finish TWAU.

Well, I suppose they're being biased, but it does look like it's worth a shot. I don't know how I'll take to Bigby though. In the games he's is no where near a 'chess-master' like Exile said. He's kind of a normal dude with some troubles, and that's why I like him so much. But I might enjoy the new take on him, if being a chess-master means calculative and cunning, then f*ck yeah! I don't (and will never praise) his detective skills, but then again, it's not the reason I enjoy Bibgy.

Now that sexy motherf*cker on my profile pic. That's a guy I love for his deductive reasoning xD

Indeed. And I agree about Bigby and how he is portrayed in the comics in contrast to the game. When I as well heard the term "chessmaster", it sent bells ringing. I have high expectations for the series, and hopefully they will live up to it.

It's a really great comic book series. There's no way to comment on anything else related to the series without spoiling it.

The thing with comic book Bibgy is that he controls the rules of engagement, so to speak.

@simfamSP Amen, brother.

@In Exile Control is one thing, it is ultimately how one executes it and with what level of authority one has in the first place. Bigby is a Sheriff and thus possesses certain more control over others by law. By ROE, I think what you are referring to more accurately is 'Use of force continuum'? Bigby serving as a law enforcer for Fabletown, it is to be expected that he controls the use of force. So if that is what makes him a chessmaster, that is hardly an impressive feat even if he utilizes it in the right way, since it is to be expected.

Aww, so no scenes like “Some battles are won with swords and spears, others with quills and ravens." ? :-(

Well it all does come down to how exactly Bigby will utilize his authority with special cases. If violence is the end term goal to get what he wants, that is hardly impressive and quite brutish in nature. A more impressive feat in contrast would be Bigby using his perceptiveness and authority as a tool to gain further knowledge and insight on characters involved and in turn carefully manipulating their motivations, ultimately having them act and respond as their own predictabilty dictates to make them give what Bigby wants.

Anyway that is an example, and I am looking forward to discover how Bigby works in the comics, since in the game it has mostly been him resorting to violence as an option.

I'm just disappointed we're probably not gonna see Bigby go full wolfy.
