I am curious what this was all about though.
I guess that storyline was scrapped.
Yeah. There was probably another subplot with Bluebeard trying to take over too that was probably scrapped.

It seemed like Telltale planned early on to make Snow's death appear permanent, and to show all the taking-over but later on reveal she was still alive. I do know some Fables fan got really pissed off in Episode 1 that Telltale killed off Snow, but I think it should've been obvious it was a ruse, this being a prequel and Snow being a major character in the comics. But then TT decided to scrap all the dramaticism of her death in the very first scene.

This is technically true, but I wonder how much actual leeway there is there. Major comic spoilers below:

Best part of the episode was Bloody Mary and she wasn't given any other characterization other than "evil bodyguard".
In addition to all of this, I felt the last 15s was unneeded.[/spoiler]
Yeah, I loved the episode, but the pacing was off - that's my main issue. I don't know why they felt it needed to be that short and I'm hoping that doesn't become a trend for their episodes/future games.
I didn't see this shared (mid game spoilers) but I laughed a lot hahaha.
The poll used to be split between two or three votes between the two choices, now it's around 40

Hah, yeah. That's from earlier in the year, the internet had fun with that little mod someone made. They(fans) took the same animation and threw it into The Walking Dead Season 2, hahaha
There's a poll based on the ending

Now that I've completed Episode 5 I've decided to replay the the whole entire game from the beginning in order to get all the book of fables entries.

Just finished Ep5 earlier. I never got around to posting anything about Ep4, but maybe when I play through both episodes with my Big Bad Wolf playthrough.

Played it. Finished it. Loved it.
Now time to buy the Fable comics.
If anyone is having doubts about getting the comics, well don't, they are extremely good.
The characters are well-rounded, the stories are solid and offer a variety from murder investigations to small fairy tale stories, the humor is subtle and hilarious (though subjective), and more. What has most impressed me with the comics has been Bigby himself. He is a more collected, proactive, intellectual character than in the game and seeing him unravelling mysteries, scheming plots and manipulating events have been a joy to read through.
So I highly recommend people giving them a go, if anyone is one the fence.
Comic Bibgy is only very superficially like TWAU Bibgy. Depending on how far you get into the comics, you end up seeing Bibgy is very much the Chessmaster for Fabletown.

Loved it, but I can't help but feel that this series could have been so much more if it weren't for the delays, rewrites, and some pretty hectic rushing towards the end. I thought episode 3 was sort of a return to form for them, but then both Episodes 4 and 5 turned out to be so short. Not that I don't like them, because I'm genuinely invested in this intriguing and frankly awesome universe.
As for my thoughts on Episode 5
Looking at Telltale's schedule and their seeming shift in focus to larger, more popular franchises, I don't think there will be a sequel. I also don't think there needs to be a sequel, as the story is pretty self-contained. The plot began with a murder in episode 1, and the arc is eventually resolved with loose ends tied up in episode 5. The final twist is great because it is very much in line with TWAU's film noir influences, but is for all intents and purposes, harmless. Her identity doesn't really bear any importance to the plot. Something to get our minds spinning and spark some forum debates, but most certainly not enough for a full blown sequel. In other words, I don't think its a cliffhanger.
