An incredible spoiler regarding the ending of the first ep and its relation to the comics, yeah.

Some of us are already aware.

Some. Others would have their minds blown.

I don't know why you're laughing. The story of the game's better if they didn't. They should feel happy about that.

Possibly spoilerish:

Is anyone else convinced the headless horseman is involved?

In the same boat, most Comic/Novel Fiction is generally considered supplemental, not pivotal to a video game.

My privilege knows no bounds. You filthy peasants must meet my demands.

$5 Per episode, which I'd assume is roughly 2 and a half bucks per hour? Might be a steam sale later on, but who knows when.

Because bodyless heads are involded ? HEEEEY !

Sorry, I just couldn't...

I guess my main suspect is that suspicious red haired guy that appeared throughout the episode. He was even the taxi driver at the beginning [and with Snow too] and so on.

I suspect Ichabod Crane. The asshole boss character almost always turns out to be evil in video games.

I'd say it's Bluebeard. The killings fit his MO just fine. Plus he's extremely wealthy so could pull off something like this and gotten away clean. Still, might not be him since he only decapitated his wives. We'll see.

Btw, has anyone named him as their prime suspect?

Don't you think thats a little easy to find out? The game isn't shy about him being a d-bag. Little too obvious, nah its someone else.

He's half the reason I think his old enemy the horseman is involved.  I mean, Ichabod's around and somebody's taking heads...

Bluebeard's just a little too obvious.

Thought the same. It perfectly fits Bluebeard's MO, but that would be too easy. More likely someone's trying to frame him by making the killings look like something he'd do.

It would actually be quite rad to see the Horseman in this

You know how it goes... the least likely suspect is probably guilty. Or we could all be wrong and it's someone we haven't met yet.

The only character I'm convinced isn't responsible is the Woodsman.

This guy is everywhere. When you're chasing fatty through the apartments, he's stuck under the couch you have to weave around. And yeah, taxi driver. I wonder who he is.

I made this assumption a while back. It's like Bigby assuming Bluebeard is involved; you don't know why, but it's a hunch. We know the Horseman is present within the world (and, interestingly, he is the only character left out of the panel book; even the non-selectable Queen is given some backstory, but the Horseman is just shown and ignored). The Horseman would match the definition of a serial killer, legend says he wielded unholy fire from his blade, and of course, decapitated heads.

With Crane being the current "deputy-mayor", who else would want to cause him so much unwarranted misery than his 19th century head-chopping nemesis? In the legend, Crane was never seen or heard from again; perhaps this is the HH's vengeance.

One of my favorite games ever, No One Lives Forever, reminds me of this. Throughout the game, you act a spy fighting the forces of an organization called "HARM". At the end, you think you've finally killed the Russian leader of it. However, an end cutscene shows that HARM's boss, the man behind every evil event that transpired, was a drunk man you see in about 7-8 locations throughout the game as a bystander.

The ginger is guilty.

Exactly.  There's also that, and this is a big spoiler for a player of the game that hasn't read the comics:

Spoiler!

The final victim can't possibly be dead in this prequel, as she's alive in the series, and who do we know that copes just fine with being headless?

Honestly, if you consider all the fairy tales mentioned in Ep 1 thus far, it seems that Bigby has killed a large number of people, but animalistically. As a wolf.

The only real "serial killer" who has a history of reportedly chopping off hundreds upon hundreds of heads, from civilian and soldier alike, for nothing other than vengeance or sport, is the Headless Horseman. The Horseman was mentioned to have a slightly bad leg in the Sleepy Hollow story, hence the clumsy climbing on the sharp fence. The fabric Bigby finds appears to "maybe be from jeans" but doesn't seem to match any leggings that he sees.

If we're going with the "Ginger" theory, which many are convinced of, the Headless Horseman legend isn't just American. A version of the Grimm Brothers' Headless Horseman story had a German hunter who was decapitated, and ever since haunted the Black Forest. It was said he dressed in a grey coat (much like the Ginger guy's).

The Irish version, the Dullahan, has a  fairy who rides amongst the countryside with a head under his arm. Some versions make him the headless driver of a black carriage (the Ginger drove a taxi in the game) which would aimlessly wander the rural areas. It was said whenever Dullahan stopped riding his horse, someone would die.

I played this through the other day, and loved it. Keen to look at the comics now, but in looking them up I think I spoilered my self a bit for the story.

The story of Sleepy Hollow is suggestive of the Horseman being in existance to scare away his rival, so in this instance, it could be the same, but who is Crane's rival?
