I played this through the other day, and loved it. Keen to look at the comics now, but in looking them up I think I spoilered my self a bit for the story.
The story of Sleepy Hollow is suggestive of the Horseman being in existance to scare away his rival, so in this instance, it could be the same, but who is Crane's rival?
Honestly, I still think Crane being in charge, and these murders only occurring now that he's in charge, and these murders being mysterious decapitations by an unknown serial killer people refuse to speak of, makes me think it's the Horseman.
Again, I think the fact that in the original story, Crane meets one of two fates (he either disappeared or was "reported" to have lived under a new alias) has something to do with this. Now that Crane is a somebody again, being the only person to ever escape from the Horseman, makes me think it's all the more logical that the HH is involved.

And yeah I'm going with the HH theory too.
Pity we can't put spoiler tags in the forum as I just found out something that relates to the next episode.

Well I'm finding it hard to play him as an ****, much in the way I couldn't play Lee as an **** either.
To me, Bigby is the perfect "tough cop with attude who likes being a loner but has soft moments", perfect noire material.
Plus, some of his snarky remarks remind me of David Caruso. I just wish Bigby wore sunglasses.

Ha! Someone needs to doctor up an image with a suitable fable like pun.
"...My car.."
"So Toad... how's your insurance?"

I have a question for you comic readers though.
***Game spoiler ahead***
If a fable gets its arm ripped off, is that damage permanent? Or can that lost limb regenerate? I decided to let Bigsby's bestial nature get the better of him, and tore off Grendel's arm. I may replay that section however if that would mean he'd be forever armless in the setting.
In either case the arm-tearing was hilarious. "Lap dog, huh? Fetch this!" (or words to that effect)
Grendel crying his eyes out in the corner for the rest of the sequence made me feel slightly bad though.

If I remember correctly it depends on the Fable's popularity among the Mundies. The more popular it is the quicker said Fable can recover. So yeah, they can heal lethal wounds.
Tearing off that white marshmallow's arm cemented Bigby's status as the guy you don't f*ck with. Naturally, this will bite back since I guess the main point of this series will be about Bigby proving that he can change and ripping off someone's arm doesn't exactly make your ratings go higher.

At the same time, NOT ripping off the arm might bite him later in the series if he needs something and someone doesn't take him seriously enough to give it to him.
I didn't rip his arm off, because people will still take you seriously either way. Even if you don't rip his arm off, you still beat the living **** out of a Saxon monster much larger than you. Bigby proved he isn't to be ****ed with either way.

I chose not to rip his arm off for this very reason. We're bombarded from the start that he's trying to show he's reformed from being the big bad wolf, a good sherriff can get results without resorting to extremes. Snow alludes to treatment of others when she and Bigby are at Toads place and Toad and Colin certainly are not backward in saying the same. At the same time though, there would be occasions where he will likely need to show he's not to be messed with, but he did that with Grendel anyhow when he transformed (not ripping his arm off meant he just chose restraint once he made his point.)Para-Medic wrote...
Well yeah. Still, it's a bit of an overkill. Perhaps if you'd chose to not do it Grendel would later change his attitude towards Bigsby, thus slowly other Fables would come to realize that the Sheriff's not so bad. It's up to Bigby to prove that they can trust him. I just think being respected is better than being feared.

One of these days I'm going to say "F*ck it" and buy this game on Steam. If this wack laptop can run ME2 this game shouldn't play too horribly
It should run fine. Its a Telltale game, its not like you need a super duper epic alpha omega graphics card X93.

My Bigby really tried, but he wasn't the nicest he could've been with all the **** going on. Poor Allerleirauh! He tore Gren's arm off the in the end, although I did feel pretty bad about it. Let's see what consequences this might have...!

Does anyone else think that Faith and Snow White are still alive? This because if you ask the Mirror to show Faith, it says a magic has concealed her. However, what would be the point of magically concealing her location if you want her head to be found? The Mirror can locate dead Fables as evidenced by Faith's father.

Yes, Fables are near immortal and usually come back alive again. It depends on how popular their stories are to the humans.
I got a feeling that Faith isn't as nice as she seemed to be. Most likely she faked her death and is working with someone to perhaps get Bigsby fired or even thrown down the Witching Well. Eh, too early to tell...

And what about Lawrence? He says he shot himself but, if you examine the gun, Bigsby says it hasn't been fired for weeks.
I suppose he could have been sitting there for the whole time since Fables are durable but that seems unlikely given the fact he described it as "fuzzy dream". What if he was controlled into doing it and/or kept in a magical coma for weeks?
It's also worth noting that the fact no one seems to remember Faith and Lawrence despite both knowing who Bisgby is and the fact there are few Fables is brough up twice by two different characters which would lend to credence to the theory of there being powerful magic afoot capable of creating fake heads and altering memories.
In the version you go to Toad first, Dee says Lawrence shot himself after learning his wife was dead. That seems possible because Lawrence does just that if Bigsby tells him except; in the 2nd version; Bigsby still says the gun hasn't been fired for weeks so, it's not possible Lawrence shot himself with it minutes ago unless it's a blunder by the developers.
And where did the bloody blade come from in the first place?
Something strange is going on. And I'd bet it has something to do with the fact discontentment seems to be brewing amongst the less wealthy Fables. If Snow White is alive, that could have been how "they" convinced her to cooperate and fake her death in a way that would incriminate the one Fable who seems to control the corrupt system, BlueBeard.

I certainly hope so. I found it interesting how the mirror phrases it in the same way that Faith does: "my lips are sealed".

As far as Lawrence is concerned - if you go to him first, he tell's you that he shot himself in the heart and that he thought he would be dead (although he does say 'he thinks that what happened') I don't recall Bigby having said that the gun hadn't been fired for weeks and in this video he makes no mention of the gun having not been fired. In regards to the knife - it was an obvious failed attempt at suicide as Bigby refers to the dried blood on Lawrences wrist.
Also Lawrence mentions a 'Georgie' who I think we see in the trailer for episode 2.
And sorry to be a bit of a pedant, but it's Bigby, not Bigsby.

"Georgie Porgie, pudding and pie, kissed the girls and made them cry."
I noticed he had "kiss the girls" tattooed on his chest in that little snippit you see of him.
